Was there just last week for business trip. And oh boy.... I gained enlightenment.... You really need to have someone(preferably local) to bring you around.

I did not go to the usual JJ or music bar(park royal). Instead my friend brought me club hopping. The likes of BME, DJ's Bar, GTR, Pioneer and Libra to name a few. These clubs usually operates till 3-5am and can get crowded during fri and sat. Pioneer and Libra are the popular joints, DJ's and GTR has few WLs as there are more artas clubs. All cab drivers will know where the clubs are.

The scene:

Typical club with tables and a decent dance floor, very loud music blasting. (For the uninitiated, almost 99% of gers you see in these clubs are WLs. Only 1% are party goers! Why 1% u ask? Probably it's a culture thing, good gers are not allow out of homes late.)

Depending on club, the price will be 80-100usd. But u can always ask for discount. Similar to "show times" in china, periodically, the gers will go out to the dance floor to "dance". Basically there for u to choose. If you're uncertain whether the ger is a WL or not, you can ask the waiters.

After u choose the ger, she will accompany you the whole night, most of the time till u've done your deed back in the hotel room and she leaves or u can ask her to stay till morn. Note: some hotels require the ger to register her id at the front desk and pay additional guest fee. You also need to have your own CD. WL may be slightly picky too. They'll choose whether to go off with you too.

My FR:

My friend brought me to BME ard 10ish. As it was a Thursdays night, there was few tables occupied. About >10 gers(WLs) where there, some where taken, some sitting at the bar waiting to be picked up. After settling down at a table, some of the gers began to dance. One caught my eye and I asked her over. As I don't speak there language I asked if she could speak English, yes she could speak a little. Asked her age, 20 she said, then ask the price. She said $90usd. Deal done. She became my gf for the night.

Looks: 6/10, to each his own.
Age: 20, u can check her id if u know how to read Burmese.
Skin: tanned, very smooth probably due to her age.
Body: slim, height at least ard 1.6m

Just come back disappointed from Decent Hotel...

Went there from Green Hill cost 7K return.... ask for 1 hr message for 8K...
Wait and wait no GQ asked, shy to ask why never touch my didi.... hai...

no message at my hotel.... sian.... what a night...
Green hill is so near to some of the mist happening nightspot. U could have ask the bellboys or taxi. Hope your next night more eventful.

Went to JJ just now. It's my first time. Was staying at Clover City Hotel. Took a cab and paid 2000kyat to go there. Reach there around 930. From there, the waiter will escort you up and pick a table for you. I'm all alone so blur blur just follow him.

Inside the club, a number of ladies came to me like a swarm of bees. Look wise not bad. Some cute some pretty some can't make it. But if I were to give a grade to the place based on looks, I will say its a healthy B. asked the waiter to politely tell the ladies off as I do not like to be pressured into picking one. I told them I wanted to wait for the fashion show before choosing.

The numbers of ladies there are good. Lots of them walking pass me. Some are real lookers. If you spot a lady that you like, you can invite her to sit with you or ask the waiter to help. I spot one petite lady who looks very pretty and sweet. Kinda like someone who I had a crush with. I am a sucker for looks.

By the way, there's two kind of ladies in JJ. Correct me if I'm wrong. Those with uniform are the models who will walk at their fashion show. They cost USD100 or 100000. Those in normal outfit are cheaper ones which cost around 50000 - 60000.

I asked the lady I spotted to sit with me. Turns out she's next on the fashion show. Her name is Juejue. She told me she wil be back. During the fashion show, you can buy flowers for the girls. It's 5k to 10k. After you give the flower, the lady will come and sit with you after the show. Spotted another lady and before I can buy her flower, another customer bought for her dy.

After the show, the lady who got the flower walk past me. Waiter called her to sit with me cause he know I was interested in her just now. Near near see she don't look that pretty anymore. That's probably the other customer release her hahaa. Then I told the waiter I wait for Juejue.

After she changed, she came to me. Like I said she's very pretty albeit bit smaller in frame. When we go out, the waiters asked for tips. I gave a thousand each for two of them. Taxi will cut you at 5000 return journey to your hotel.

It was difficult to communicate to these Burmese girls when they know limited English. Once reach the hotel, she went into and bath herself. Fine with me. I lied there watching tv. Yes, based on what my local friend said, the above is true. My ger stayed till 4am(usually standard time) as I picked her up at the standard clubs and then club hop. The danger with club hopping, other than being physically shag, is your lady might get "overtaken" if she gets a better offer from other guys. The ladies at JJ are, more often than not, sharks and will go back to the club to get more business.

Another observation I made is, the Burmese WLs are picky too. If you bargain too hard, They'll take a good look at you and access you first before they commit.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Will be heading to Yangon again this month, will give another FR!

Bro Rauldon,

Go to Myanmar embassy webpage, get appointment date. Then go down there in morning, pass passport, afternoon 4:30pm, go back collect passport. All done in 1 day.

I just did mine last week.

Also one tips, no need to go early like 8am as stated in the appointment letter. Can go around 9 plus, coz even your number has passed, you can queue up at special lane, sometimes it is faster than to queue at the Number waiting queue.

The gers will always do a first check in at the clubs. For my ger, she was checked in at BME, that's where I pick her up. After nego price, we confirmed then she proceeded to check out from BME(pick up ID n bag) and she stuck with me all night. My first post mentioned that I went to DJ's, GTR then Pioneer after that. My local friend warned me abt the hijack so I mentioned it to bros here just in case.

One more thing to add, they(the gers) are also afraid that u abandon them if u see someone better in other clubs. So they also will keep their options open if they see u wander off. So just hang on to your ger is alright.

P.S the ger/s don't mind 3some or more too.

I understood from the girl I tried, La Min, that there is a standard among girls over there. Just HJ will costs about 15,000 kyats and fj will be 20,000 kyats. If you prefer, you can bring your own helmet and if you dun have, they are willing to provide cd (at least for La Min).

I am more familiar with Vietnam than Myanmar. Actually still have very little knowledge about Myanmar for the time being. But the sharing session here is really excellent and sincere (thumbs up), made me think about cheonging myanmar and meeting seniors.

So here I am in this forum to see see look look and learn learn. I have some newbie's questions, hope seniors here can help a Myanmar newbie like me patiently.

First silly question: Is Yangoon safe for foreigner to walk around, day time or night time? Vietnam is rather safe.

Second, besides at the massage, pub, clubs etc. Is it possible to befriend local ladies on the street or those you meet at retail shops etc? Language is a likely barrier, but serious cheongers will consider learning the language if need be.

Third: I known this is a long shot, but are there any place with a resemblance to blow and go shop?

very safe. I walked alone very late at night all the time. My locals tell me generally Myanmar very staunch buddhist. It's not like u left your phones and wallet at the diners and expect to get it back. (thou I heard incident that the waiter ran after to return). But more like they dont have it in them to be confrontational when it comes to bad deeds.... Ie, robbery. It's a far cry compared to malaysia, indonesia and philipines from the stories i heard. Then again, no harm using some common sense when traveling at night alone.

I have not been to yangoon, but this is a new place that open up so keeping the option open. Going yangoon is both for pleasure and checking opportunity. Likely pleasure.

If ladies in myanmar are as approachable and friendly like in Vietnam, i will be there regularly to fish. Reason is that local women tend to like foreigners more, and we are often seen as better than local men. Learning basic burmese is to facilitate expansion of fishing ground, allowing more types of fish to be fished. Learn beginner burmese will do i supposed, make the girls giggle naturally. I also like the excitement of hunting on the ground.

How long is the slow fishing? On and off. I visit vietnam once in 2 months, sometimes more times. Mostly to get to know local ladies and possibly get them into bed. I am still regularly visit vietnam. I hope myanmar can provide the same experience.

Yes, good to start with tourist visa and see slowly how to continue to fish. I have seen Myanmar girls, agree that they not for everyone's cup of tea, but I am not too fussy either. There are always gems, good or bad people. Be more carefree and less demanding, guarantee happier that way.

Had come back from Yangon recently (1st of possibly many trips to come). Still not many mega mall, some 5 star hotels, few fast food restaurant around though did find Swensens, Merrybrown, Donuts factory? here. During walk-walk, even found an Italian restaurant.

Food wise, Mynamar has some Chinese, Thai & even Indian influence (ate Naan in 1 small cafe). Food should not be a problem for Singaporeans as there are other restaurant like Thai, Korean. There is a Singapore Kitchen (for those who still prefer this but no comment as haven't tried it yet). Surprise there are many Japanese restaurants here. The hotel I stayed in also has a Japanese feel about it, from the bathroom to restaurant to the Japanese speaking staff. Only later was told that the owner is Japanese.

Due to the hectic work schedule, no chance to try the night life. My supplier has said will bring me to see the 'sights' next time I come & asked me to extend my stay over the weekend. :D

Olympic hotel massage - if u r looking for hanky panky, forget it. I went alone for massage, they gave a nice big room with TV, attached toilet, but when gal came she kept the door slightly ajar with stopper so as to signal no "extra".

Hello Bros!

I got some info from here before my amazing Yangon trip. Hope to "pay back" with a short FR.

Stayed at Clover City Hotel - cheap, clean and gal friendly (no need pay guest fine)

Went to Zero Zone at Chinatown, crowd was mostly locals, in fact that night we were the only foreign patrons. The place is definitely an eye opener for us from sgp. It's quite an experience, the food and beer were dirt cheap, seriously dirt cheap. The in-house girls/ doubling as waitresses took turns to sing on the runway. Singing was bad though, maybe was the sound system but nevertheless it was great fun. Then they had some outside prettier "models" coming in for a fashion parade and patrons could hang flowers. One of the models caught my eye, and lucky me she could speak some English. I didn't hang any flowers but just chatted with her, I swear if it was 20 years ago i could have fell in love with her, the GFE was amazing! We then planned to cross the road to Emperor discotheque.

In Emperor there were many girls. Really many, in fact it's swarmed with girls! So we took a bottle of johnny around USD30 and the girls just crowded around our table. My friends took one each between 60k to 80k, and i sat with my "gf" from previous joint. Emperor closes early around 12am so we had to proceed back to hotel for other action.

Just to share my experience I yangon with all bros.

Returned from yangon a weeks ago.managed to visit JJ ,Pioneer and Power light.

JJ -the best among them all. Lots of working girls and I brought 1 every night during my stay in yangon. Always remember to book your hotel as double occupancy so you don't need to pay for surcharge when you bring girls back.

Pioneer- expensive entrance fee 8000kyats. Very dark inside with spotlight making you dizzy. Not recommend for picking up girls

Power light -dinner place with catwalk show. Lousy and expensive food. Many mosquitoes during this season and maybe wearing Bermudas made it worse.

Plus minus 30,000kyats per hour for room, depends on size. U can bring your liqueur (from dfs) but pay corkage. I cannot remember clearly, we brought in 4 bottles, mixers, corkage and room for 2hrs cost us more than 200,000kyats.

I seen girls speaking simple chinese there. Jap I not sure. Do note that tips for girls bout 20,000 to 30,000kyats. And taking out depends on chemistry.

One flower band cost 5k kyat( around 7-8 dollars),there are more expensive ones like 10k ones, usually people ask the waiter to go and hang the flower on their behalf. So the duration you spend with her will depend. I heard if you want to tapau the gal, you can try to offer, but you run the danger of offending them? Because they are not escorts. Yes. Hotel is expensive. Ridiculously so. When u first open your hotel room door, you'll wonder where your $200 went to.

Risky in yangon? It's much safer than most Asia country & definitely safer then u imagine. Just practice common sense. Perhaps more rural part may be slightly riskier.

Your article I think is referring to the Myanmar border. That I got no knowledge to share. I only know a little wee bit about Yangon.

My 2 cents worth for others view on bad times in yangon....

I don't feel any difference. Same supply, same rates...at least for me.

Thou the joints may be a bit crowded on fri & sat nights. But mainly with the local youngsters who the working ladies are not targeting. I m also a foreigner to them, so I am always within the girl's radar. And no matter how crowded, my buddies & I always get a table. The same cannot be said for ktv rooms.

RATES
I gave up asking the rates on the spot long time ago. That is not a decision factor for me. I never encounter more than usd100.

SUPPLY
Plenty. I even got mental list of girls targeted. Just not enough time in yangon to "explore".

Bros who happened to chiong with me will know.;)

P.s. Forget bout clubs in hotels. They r way over rated in my opinion. Drinks are costly, girls so few. No offence, but just not my taste.

From jj club, drive along kyaik ka san road towards shwe gone dine road and turn left there is a big run down and closed building called tarmwe plaza. For good singapore food go look for House of singapura its a new restaurant in town. in short, you are paying twice the amount for half your expectations (since it's your 1st time there). not trying to second guess your level of tolerance & travel hardiness (no pun intended), your usd50 (i'd assume you are talking bout greenbacks) may get you a hotel you cannot tahan.... think musky smell & windowless room.

I think if his expectations are based on the above criterias, than he better lower it further down from 50%...well based on what i had encountered since i was last there which was about a year back...too bad never got a opportunity to try out the local flavours while i was there but seems like based on the FR given, really not much to miss. I think the major obstacle is the language, Myanmese tend to keep to themselves.

no need cup noodles lah. your main -con will take care of you til dinner one. maybe after that still don't let you go. thing is, do you feel comfy to party with them? i usually separate work & play. you going solo or with friends/colleagues?

if you still hungry at night, i can recommend you a few place if i know which area your hotel at.

being monk or not is up to you. if you wanna sin, yangon got you covered. and i believed you had read thru at least the recent 10 pages or so of this thread, so should have a rough idea.

i did on several occasions, via viber, guide a few bros around at night. but you need to have a local line first.

SG is very commercial. the girls do have certain standards/Sop on services.... from what i read (i dun play in SG), i am using china to benchmark.

Myanmar girls tends to be more shy. services are a mixed bag. thou i have to admit part of my thrill comes from not knowing what to expect when the hotel room door closes behind us.

nowadays, i make it a point to only bring girls i met several times, so they already warmed up to me. Also, i feel some girls i meet are not so money-minded and i get treated well if i treat them with respect. sometimes i only give a 5000kyats topup card they can be so happy.

back to you.... if you are there for 1 time only, it would not be possible to play it slow. (i cannot play fast too cos will hard my pocket). Then you case would be more like a 50-50 gamble if the night will be great or not. so use some instinct & common sense to pick loh.

YIH is the one with the massage center at level 2 right? Been there once gals looks ok but communication big problem so never suggest anything. Anyway I think at car park there, got one Singapore restuarant, it was the first time I ate the thickest grilled sting ray meat ever, not kidding when I say its at least 1 1/2" thick. Can't imagine how big the actual sting ray was. There is a also a pub there but mostly youngsters only don't know if any fl inside.
