Went to china for 4 nights, initially wanted to just spend one night in danshui to look see look see on 2nd night. In the end, spend 2nd and 4th night there(not to mention lotsa travelling here and there). Just wanna say, most gals that make the cut to me mostly come from cp. It seems the originals cannot make it in my eyes at least.
Btw, can any kind bros recommend good 沐足 and body massage in danshui? Standard no need to meet qian zu ge, but like yihao where the 技师 are young and rather pleasant and good looking. No need happy endings, just to have a good time to massage and enjoy some eye candy.

A quick recap on my first two visit in the same week.


My very first visit, on a tuesday (28 October)

in this week that's ending, I'v visited this 淡水 danshui 皇朝 KTV 丽景国际花园酒店) THREE times

my first two visits on tuesday and friday nights were great, memorable.
However, my third visit yesterday turned out really disappointing.
Well, it was a saturday night so we expected more girls with better quality. we showed up early, got a bigger, better room with seven of us Singaporeans.

The line-up yesterday (Saturday) is terrible. Very few girls and most are not good looking. It was a stark contrast to Friday's and Tuesday's lineup.

There's two other rooms with five and three singaporeans each, i visited both rooms to hang out for short whiles... so i get to check out what girls were there.


Our theory was this - there was a raid at another danshui KTV the day before (friday), so some girls panicked and didn't show up for work on saturday. Can't verify this theory because the mamasans say that the better looking girls were just snatched up and pre-booked earlier.



(1) there's 7 of us Singaporeans. We took room 281, we were earlier promised we can get a third level KTV room (where the premium rooms are) but the KTV girl (my 山东 girl) whom i tasked to book the KTV room failed to get one.
Nonetheless, the room 281 was a bigger and better decorated room than other level two rooms

(2) total KTV billing is 3870 RMB, we were given two DJs so we tipped 2x 300 + boy tip of 100. total expense was 4370, after splitting equally, it's roughly 640rmb per person.

the bill was slightly higher than expected because one of our new brudder brought his own whisky and the corkage charge alone was 600RMB

(3) seven of us guys but we only had nine girls (due to the lack of good choices)
I didn't pick any girl as there's none that i liked... i sorta sat alone from 8pm till 11:30pm until my HK girl came back from her dental visit to Hong Kong (i spent friday night with her, she left at noon on saturday to go for her afternoon dental visit in Hong Kong, then rushed back late night to work in this KTV)
Originally i wanted to try new girls but since there's a lack of choices and none of the girls available meet my tastes, i was so glad that the HK girl came late and came straight to sit with me.


(4) while the girls weren't as good, our brudders did have good fun. Brudder Risis sat two very spunky girls with playful character, we played three guys Vs three girls tag team dice games etc.

3) although the corkage is 600rmb, you have to take into account
- cost of bringing the liquor. i assume that he did not collect from guys.
- one bot of original is better than few bot of fake one.
- the cost may be higher for drinkers without that

- 4 samster should not left without your notice
- when the other samsters request u to settle and u got no cash or cards, should ask them to fork it out rather than suguest to draw as atm may be down
- gal will oni pay for u first unless u treat her very well and expect more in return

Silly as it sounds, I miss speaking English because everyone talks to me in Chinese here. So going to CP KTVs was heartwarming for me to chat with fellow Singaporeans in a jovial TCSS mood.

I only starting cheonging KTV 2 years ago and I made new Singaporean friends and american born Chinese, a couple of them became very close friends.

I understand there are risks involved, misunderstandings or whatever to cheong with new people, but I enjoy that .n
Refreshing to hear that there are still guys like you who just enjoy meeting and partying with new friends. I truly hope that you will keep on doing just this and not get disillusioned.

I USED to be like that.... for quite a while actually.... until problems started cropping up and then kept on happening with increasing frequency. I can tell you stories!! LOL.

Just make sure that you not only NOT lose money, but more importantly, make sure you do NOT get involved/be inadvertently snared in scams that others pulls on YOUR friend, using your name/reputation etc. Yup!! Sigh...!

As promised for some FR of DS after my very first visit with my regular bubby .

Went over to DS from Zhuhai , Stayed at Legend (丽景国际花园) Block C . As many bro had posted , Block A are the main building , old reno , Block B are converted from sauna room .

Hotel room is nice at Block C and we can have breakfast on the 17th floor over looking nice view . BF are ok and rather standard but sure better than Zhuhai .

Went to 皇朝 ktv for 2 night ...........

1st Night was given 333 room and 111 room for 2nd night which is on the 3rd floor , line up of gals are above 6.5/10 . Very fast most bro had done with choosing and our room are filled with mms and start our party . Overall am rather satisfied for all of us .

All room on 3rd floor are better deco , there is also a few similar room on 2nd floor too .

Spending was rather same like CP , many of gals rate are 1600 for ON . Surprising that there is still many 300 cat but of cos none was choosen in our room :D

Saw many CP mummy , manager and mms working here ...... had a little feel like we are in CP but no FS :(

We went to another KTV on the 3rd night , 金鼎

Was about 10min drive from our hotel .

Deco wasn't as grand, mms strength also much lesser than the 1st . Got the 188 room , consider big too . Lucky we still manage to filled up our room haha ........

Spending here was on the high side as I think the manager who book this room did a fxxking mistake by not controlling our bills and was messed by those big clothes guys partying in our room and seem like they are having more fun than us , think I am not going to support him anymore .

Cheaper and more fun (non drug/humsup related) than any of those high end KTVs but hostesses mostly average looks.
99% local clientele and if any china man find trouble with you must have back up.

Unfortunately GiGi ran out of her own allocated rooms and she has to refer them to another manager.
Their party just ended when my plane touched down in Bangkok (about 1am) and the bill for a room of three guys, four girls add up to 3700 rmb, that's steep especially since they ordered just two bottles of (fake) hard liquor.
That's like 1300+ rmb per bro

(If you look at my past field reports - see my signature links below, our highest bill was 4500rmb for eight brothers. Simply put, it averages about 600+ rmb per bro. On our first outing, we managed to keep to less than 500rmb per bro)

So I called Gigi to find out why... She explained that if its her own KTV room, she can offer some extra free drinks but since its another manager's room, she tried to ask but they didn't obliged. She's apologetic and promised that in future if I or any of the bros I recommended were to come, so long as its advanced booking so she could get rooms thru her own channel, she can void corkage charges for at least one bottle of hard liquor we bring in ourselves.

Guess I'll give her a second chance when I go Danshui on 16 Nov.

Manager Gigi sent me twenty over WeChat messages to try to apologize and explain how to cut costs for us in future. The most effective way is to bring your first bottle of hard liquor in and she will DISCREETLY waive the corkage charges of that.
During our third DS outing, a Canadian Vietnamese bro brought three bottles of hard liquor from the HKIA. He wanted to open all three but he was the only hard liquor drinker (the rest seven of us prefer beer)
Again this wasn't Gigi's room as I pre-ordered this from my 山东 girls' manager and we were billed 600rmb for the first bottle corkage charge. Our total bill was 3870rmb
Imagine our end bill if all three bottles were opened.

Since we are on the subject - freeloaders are actually a relatively minor problem; yeah, happens too often with quite sickening regularity but these free-loaders are usually very easily identified and would only be a one-off bother. IMHO, a more serious problem are those individuals who are so accomplished at what they do as a profession, that trusting mongers do not even realize when these guys pump up bills and then get massive rebates from such. Yeah, great drinking buddy - but watch out when anybody gets too friendly too soon!

And then are the Scammers - those who actually choose such a vocation as well as those who found themselves at wit's end and thus resort to such. I've heard of/experienced my own horror story and lost actual money (not just over-charges) but what galled me at least a couple times was when these low-lives used my name/friendship with others to scam my friends.

I just want to suggest/remind you to be more careful and vet strangers you meet over the internet closely - especially on mongering sites. There is usually no free lunch and whilst I do know that there ARE many honest, altruistic people on the web as elsewhere, there are probably an equal amount of skillful and opportunistic vultures ready to pounce on the usual good bonhomie associated with mongering forays.
Mind you though, I HAVE also met and made great friendship with quite a few guys via the internet in the past, so....!

You know me heh I hate drinking beer. A set of 3 chivas 12 in said ktv is 1888 that's with 3 bottles and some mixer thrown in. Chivas is entry level for hard liquor.

For our trip with vertu, fgg and another bro. We are mainly hl drinkers. On avg we bring like 1-2 bottles of duty free per session for our own consumption, and then order sets for the girls.

I'm happy to see no signs of fake hl so far, I get headaches from those so can usually tell.

Our bill size are usually anything from 3500-10k+ depending on how hard we are drinking. Also if u have partied with us, well let's just say that these are people who can fill up CEO room in yh with just any 3 of us.

Hardly post but thought I update all with a FR on Danshui, as there’s so much interest with this new Disneyland. Am a regular to CP/CA since 2007, and have partied in most of the common places mentioned in this forum - Bangkok, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh and Phnom Penh. You can consider me like the thousands of lurkers in this forum that rarely “speak” out (don't know why I am in a good mood today and wanted to share).

Frustrated by what’s happening with Dongguan I begin to hook up with my contacts, which leads me to a local China agent who can arrange all – transportation, hotel, ktv…etc.
We (3 of us) went on Nov 5 to 8, arriving late on 5th in SZ airport via AirAsia from KL. Head straight to Danshui, which surprising took us only 1 hour, arriving at 10.30pm. RMB450 one way from SZ airport to Danshui, or RMB800 return (discount of RMB100).

Danshui

First impression of Danshui is it looks the same as many towns in China. However Danshui looks bigger than CP, and perhaps a smaller version of CA. For those who are used to CP, you will find that it’s not as convenient. You don’t find café’s (MU or 85), DVD shops, hair saloons or clean massage joints all within walking distance. There is a clean massage joint next to New Regent Hotel, but my advice is don’t bother as it’s nowhere near to Polozim standard.

If you take the time to explore Danshui town, they do have bigger shops – selling clothes, food and other stuff. But overall Danshui still gives me that “kampung” feel. Miss CP :(

Hotels

We checked into New Regent hotel on the 1st night. New Regent is old but comfortable. Those who have experienced CP Eurasia, they will find this hotel disappointing. We are ok as we are used to staying at CP Peace Hotel (we like to be low profile and not bump to anyone we know).

Adjourned to New Legend on the 2nd day. New Legend is a nice 5 star hotel. Probably the best in Danshui. However I feel it still fall short of the luxury of CP Eurasia. Design and sitting sofa's at the lobby is basic. Anyway New Legend is the IN place now. Lots of Singaporean and Malaysians there. You can see (from their dressing) and hear (from their slangs). Mostly early to late 40s profile. On 6th Nov at around 4.30pm, I saw a busload of male Singaporeans (at least 40 of them) perhaps on a golf/incentive and plus plus trip :) If you are one of them and reading this FR now, I probably have taken a few pics of you guys (are u sweating profusely now?).

Room rates were RMB298 for New Regent, and RMB488 for New Legend (Block C). Would highly recommend the massage place on 7th floor New Legend, excellent foot massage and much better than Polozim in CP. Foot massage is RMB118 for 90 mins.

Food

There’s a HK style café in New Legend hotel – pretty good food and most importantly convenient. We had our dinner both nights there. A decent dinner in the HK café is around RMB200 for 4 persons. You probably won’t have much problems with food, as on 17th floor there's a high class Western restaurant.

Arranged a car on 7th Nov. to send us to a seafood place (Aotou I think) – about 25 minutes from Danshui for lunch. You can either buy the seafood from the wholesale market and ask the restaurant to cook or go straight to the restaurant and order from menu. We chose the less hassle option. A good seafood meal cost RMB555 for 5 of us. Can be cheaper, but our 1st trip anyway and many things to learn. Worth to kill off time, as all in it took us 2.5 hours from Legend hotel and back. RMB200 for a two-way trip plus the waiting time.

KTVs plus various

That’s what we are there for :p

As we were late on 1st night, we ordered “KFC”. Heard there’s some operation during this period, you can’t view so they will send directly to your hotel. I can summarize that it’s utterly disappointing. Ratings of perhaps below 3 (except 1 girl). These are sauna girls. Benchmark to Virgin or MeiBao - it's like heaven and earth. My advice is don’t bother and save your bullets. We gave up after seeing around 8 girls. Price range is RMB650-850 (almost all says they are RMB850). You are supposed to be serviced for 2 hours, but she will tell you it's not safe now (only 1 of my friend took as his brain is flooded with s**rm and let her go after 30 mins).

We spend both nights (6th and 7th) in Legend Hotel Dynasty KTV. There are 3 floors in this KTV. 3rd floor is the most luxurious, as mentioned in earlier posts. My advice is if you are a big spender – RMB5K above, book the KTV room on this floor. Also found out that all KTV girls are housed there (the “river mouth” in Cantonese). I bet all the pretty ones are first being mirrored for patrons of 3rd floor. So go figure this out, how to catch the best fish! BTW they don't allow you to hang around at the corridors.

As there are only 3 of us and we are not big spenders, we are on 2nd floor – mixed KTV with some Taiwanese (actually better off as they were quite fun to party with). Worthwhile for you to understand how the "inner system" works. Each mummy, managers or agents have a fixed allocation of rooms each night. So you may not get the type of rooms you want or even no rooms if they run out of their quota. With this place growing in popularity day by day, I believe they will soon be trading/auctioning rooms to the highest bidder especially during Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It's like implementing GST in Malaysia, it will only drive up pricing. Welcome to the land of greed, $$ talks in China (well I may be over-simplifying as this can be anywhere if there are cunning businessman). If you know the most influencing person in Dynasty KTV, it helps.

Girls start to parade to the room at 7.30pm. Those who are used to flower street will need to kind of adjust to this. My ratings of the KTV girls are 5 to 6 - again my personal opinion. Benchmarking to Ouya or Yihao, Dynasty KTV is still a long way off in terms of quality. Occasionally there will be a few good ones (2 out of 40 viewed) but they may say not “available for the night”. So lower your expectations, you should be fine (if you are not the fussy type).

I brought sand to the beach, got my regular from CP to come over (I always play safe). My two other friends are easy-going-as-long-as-there's-pussy type. Our “strategy” has always be not to choose the prettiest. Turns out well, the service level is really good – they shower with you (not those who wrapped themselves with the towel, turn off the light, and hide under the comforters), BBBJ and have no problem staying the night. Most of them are new to Danshui (only a few weeks there), so they are not like the spoilt brats of CP, and quite eager to please. Will likely change over time as more punters flood this place.

They are learning fast – the Dongguan way! For those who wish to party here, do come soon as my prediction is this Disneyland will fast become very expensive and out of control for the layman.

Will I be back? Perhaps for another trip in January 2015, as I am the leader of a team of desperate friends from Singapore and Vietnam who have been starving the past 10 months. My personal view is there are other places (if you dare to explore) and perhaps not stick to "hottest" place mentioned in the Net and Wechat (although it's a viable option now). Check out Huizhou City, Shajin and Zhongshan.

Hardly post but thought I update all with a FR on Danshui, as there’s so much interest with this new Disneyland. Am a regular to CP/CA since 2007, and have partied in most of the common places mentioned in this forum - Bangkok, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh and Phnom Penh. You can consider me like the thousands of lurkers in this forum that rarely wants to “speak” out.

Frustrated by what’s happening with Dongguan I begin to hook up with my contacts, which leads me to a local China agent who can arrange all – transportation, hotel, ktv…etc.
We (3 of us) went on Nov 5 to 8, arriving late on Nov 5th in SZ airport via AirAsia from KL. Head straight to Danshui, which surprising took us only 1 hour, arriving at 10.30pm.

Danshui

First impression of Danshui is it looks the same as many towns in China. However Danshui looks bigger than CP, and perhaps a smaller version of CA. For those who are used to CP, you will find that it’s not as convenient. You don’t find café’s (MU or 85), DVD shops, hair saloons or clean massage joints all within walking distance. There is a clean massage joint next to New Regent Hotel, but my advice is don’t bother as it’s nowhere near to Polozim standard.

Overall if you take the time to explore Danshui town, they do have bigger shops – selling clothes and stuff. But overall Danshui still gives me that “kampung” feel. Miss CP :(


KTVs plus various

That’s what we are there for!:p

We were late on 1st night, so we ordered “KFC”. As there’s some operation during this period and you can’t view and they will send to your hotel. I can summarize that it’s utterly disappointing, ratings of perhaps below 3 (except 1 girl). These are sauna girls, but my advice is don’t bother and save your bullets. Price range is RMB650-850.

We spend both nights (6th and 7th) in Dynasty KTV at Legend Hotel. There are 3 floors in this KTV. And as it’s been highlighted in previous posts, 3rd floor is the most luxurious. My advice is if you are a big spender – RMB5K above, book the KTV room at 3rd floor. Found out that all the KTV girls are housed there (the “river mouth” in Cantonese). Bet all the pretty ones are first being mirrored for patrons of 3rd floor – so go figure this out how to catch the best fish!

There are only 3 of us and we are not the typical big spenders, we are on 2nd floor – mixed KTV with some Taiwanese. It’s probably worthwhile for you to understand how it works. Each mummy, managers or agents have a fixed allocation of rooms, so you may not get the type of rooms you want even if you know them well. As this place is growing in popularity, I believe they will soon be trading/auctioning rooms to the highest bidder especially during Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Welcome to land of greed, as $$$ talks in China. If you know the most influencer person in Dynasty KTV, it helps.

Turns out well as the service level is really good – they shower with you, BJ and have no problem staying the night. All of them are new to Danshui (a few weeks there), so they are not like the spoilt brats of CP girls, and quite eager to please.

Thanks for your compliment. My intention is to give a fair and balanced view, as the forum is meant to be for sharing and benefit of many frustrated cheongsters like me. There's lot of agents out there, so I also want to state clearly that I have no intention to cause any problems to their livelihood.

Danshui remains still the most viable option for partying at this moment. My friends and I were reminiscing the good old times (Ouya, Yihao, Fuhao, Mayflower, Jia Yi, Star of Star, TDWS...etc). We sort of have that feeling back last week! Talk about desperation....haha.

My friends and I don't go there because there're a few more Danshui KTVs that are better.

There're many smaller KTVs in Danshui but not suitable for Malaysians, Singaporeans and Overseas Chinese.
Cheaper and more fun (non drug/humsup related) than any of those high end KTVs but hostesses mostly average looks.
99% local clientele and if any china man find trouble with you must have back up.

You know me heh I hate drinking beer. A set of 3 chivas 12 in said ktv is 1888 that's with 3 bottles and some mixer thrown in. Chivas is entry level for hard liquor.

For our trip with vertu, Me ,FGG and another bro. We are mainly hl drinkers.

Our bill size are usually anything from 3500-10k+ depending on how hard we are drinking. Also if u have partied with us, well let's just say that these are people who can fill up CEO room in yh with just any 3 of us.

Danshui

I brought my groups of friends and clients to go Danshui (DS) KTV thrice on the last week of October and I'll be going again this Sunday to cheong at least three more times (probably more)

In between, I have also introduced a few groups to go DS KTV and referred them to two different managers/mamasans ~ so i'm getting a little known (among a few mamasans) for being "helpful" in introducing new clients.

These mamasans are now competing to get more of my referrals.

Disclaimer ~ i don't get any monetary gains from doing these referrals, in fact, i spend money treating these mamasans to suppers and dinners.



I intend to leverage upon these to see if i can get the Danshui KTV mamasans to let me photograph their MMs (brothers who added me via Wechat knows that I'm a photographer who works with beautiful, sexy foreign models)

why do i have this idea of photographing KTV girls?
1. simply because i like photographing beautiful women
2. almost all the girl pictures that mamasans and pimps show us are so fake, photoshopped, deceiving ~ i want to be able to shoot them in a realistic way and share among our own bros (privately)

Anyway I know those Rip Off, Scammer people exists as I used to chiong CP every weekend for many years and I have seen a lot over the years. Personally. My friends and I actually had planned to hit CP the last trip but a raid happened and we had no idea where else to go. So coincidentally as I surfed for DS tour organisers, we chanced upon brother Panado's kind invitation so we decided to try to join in so we at least know where to go and book another room the next day if the party did not go well. I say that purely because not everyone party the same way so we did not want to crash parties and cause problems lah so that was really what our concerns were.

Anyway I just wanna say, of all the years - the bros we have partied with and in this place are all great people!!!

Brother Jimfairy is one of the most caring party bros I have met man hahah he always takes care of me knowing I go crazy at parties!

Since we are on the subject - freeloaders are actually a relatively minor problem; yeah, happens too often with quite sickening regularity but these free-loaders are usually very easily identified and would only be a one-off bother. IMHO, a more serious problem are those individuals who are so accomplished at what they do as a profession, that trusting mongers do not even realize when these guys pump up bills and then get massive rebates from such. Yeah, great drinking buddy - but watch out when anybody gets too friendly too soon!

And then are the Scammers - those who actually choose such a vocation as well as those who found themselves at wit's end and thus resort to such. I've heard of/experienced my own horror story and lost actual money (not just over-charges) but what galled me at least a couple times was when these low-lives used my name/friendship with others to scam my friends.

I just want to suggest/remind you to be more careful and vet strangers you meet over the internet closely - especially on mongering sites. There is usually no free lunch and whilst I do know that there ARE many honest, altruistic people on the web as elsewhere, there are probably an equal amount of skillful and opportunistic vultures ready to pounce on the usual good bonhomie associated with mongering forays.
Mind you though, I HAVE also met and made great friendship with quite a few guys via the internet in the past, so....!

I hope nobody misunderstand and/or take offense - and sorry if you are offended; just my suggestion and reminder. Peace!

the last time i was in Danshui KTV ten days ago, there were three other rooms booked by different groups of Singaporeans ~ manager Gigi pulled me to go 干杯 at the other rooms ~ all different kind of liquor, red wine, vodha, HL, beer, it was crazy downing all these.


Maybe when you guys travel, you don't really care to meet our Singaporeans. But hey, i'm based in Beijing where i almost never meet any Singaporeans or get the chance to speak English in weeks, so i relish the opportunities to meet up with fellow countrymen in CP/DS ktvs, talk cock sing song etc.

I met three other different groups of Singaporeans (not including my own group) when i was in Danshui, and i must say they are not loud at all.

I was invited to their KTV rooms to hang out for short whiles because we know the same few mamasans and managers, plus they are interested to know how i survived six, seven years in Beijing lol.

I observed the ways they party, the way they move around the town, hang around, i must say these are very subtle, well-behaved tourists.

the MMs, managers and mamasans i met generally remarked that we Singaporeans are well-behaved, not loud, not drawing a lot of attention.

Out of the many KTV rooms on three levels, Singaporeans at most take up 4-5 rooms on a busy weekend night.


The loudest groups of mongers i see there are the local chinese patrons and the HongKongers, especially the Hong Kong guys, they really come by busloads. and in the detention barracks (as described by my SG bros), most of those detained are hongkong-ers. occasionally there will be a few like him, Singaporeans, one or two caucasians and indian fellows...

The topic of today would be how to party safely in DS

to start the ball rolling


(1) avoid going to the Sauna establishments,
which are popular among the local chinese, and are comparatively cheaper than CP ones during its heyday

in the Legend Hotel which is getting really popular now, rooms in block B were Sauna rooms that were converted to hotel rooms, which explains why they weren't as good as the new rooms in block C or the renovated rooms in the old block A.

The smart management knows that the running sauna services will be a fast way to get the wrath of the yanda authorities. so they lose this lucrative part of business and focus on keeping the occupancy of their hotel rooms high.

(2) Stay in a hotel that's not designed primarily for sexual activities
for example, one that doesn't have any high profile Sauna activities or kinky massages.

i notice that it's really difficult to get hotel rooms in the new block C of Legend Hotel if you don't book early enough. Even the less desirable block B and block C room get booked out really fast.
certainly, the increasing popularity of the KTV in this hotel contributes to that. However, i noted that the hotel seems to take in a good share of non-sexual related package tourism business for tour groups.
the hotel management seems to be smart enough to diversify and rely not just on KTV activities to peak its occupancy rate.

in this aspect, chances of getting raid in the hotel rooms is lower, but still there. (refer to my point 4 for about this....)


(3) Raids in the KTV rooms.

We were in 哈尔滨 on a official photo festival trip and we are the seven foreigners to lend an international look to the campaign. my angmoh buddies heard about the notorious KTV scenes and they asked me to bring them to a Chinese KTV to experience it. I don't know if our foreigner presence drew the attention of the raid, but when the girls in our rooms caught wind of the incoming raid, they were quickly ushered out through the backdoor of the KTV and they hid in the bushes for almost an hour. meanwhile we the clients stayed in the room and kept singing oldies. The police 公安 came, they didn't even bother to check our IDs but just asked a few questions ( i had to be the translator). after an hour, the raid ended, a couple of girls came back but the rest left for the night ... none of us took out any girls, they won't anyway in the first place.


(4) Getting caught in hotel rooms
apart from getting caught in Sauna rooms which are more risky anyway, the next thing that get you into trouble is to get caught in hotel rooms with a girl that you just knew.

i have this SG friend who was caught in a 4-star Shenzhen hotel frequented by Japanese. He hadn't even undressed and the raid occurred and he was detained for ten days ~ the incriminating evidence was he had already paid the pimp who got him the girl and the caught pimp fingered him.
there's exchange of money and that's enough for the police to detain him.

on the other hand, Chinese authorities won't punish you for adultery. it's a moral issue, not a legal one. so even if you are a foreigner, married, they won't jail you for having sex for your non-married fuck buddy.

the key is to know your sex partner well enough to prove/show that it's a paid-sex arrangement. that's one reason for sticking to regular girls.

Perhaps a bit of historical/geographical context will help us understand what Huizhou/Danshui is all about.

This area is just North of Dapeng Peninsula which is closest to Hong Kong across Mirs Bay and which is the favorite speedboat route for smugglers to Hong Kong. The huge trade in smuggled goods then progressed to include drugs and shipments to International destinations, especially Europe.

Natives of Huizhou even nowadays are the drug king-pins in Europe especially in the Netherlands which is a very significant distribution center for the rest of the continent.

These are the kind of people that are native to Huizhou/Danshui/Dapeng/Aotou/Dayawan etc and are NOT the kind of people you can afford to tangle with. So yeah, do keep a low profile, keep your wits at all time and do avoid any confrontations.

And yeah - especially for you all who likes to act up/be BSD's - they ain't gonna stand for any nonsense there. The mongering customer is King in CP as sex IS the main industry there, whilst the Danshui/Huizhou KTV's etc - these places are merely needed facilities for their day-to-day lives but NOT really significant in their grand scheme of things. (1) I compared notes with a senior bro, FGG, who's arriving this afternoon from CP.
his original plan was to chiong zhuhai but decided to come Danshui instead cos there were warnings about raids over there. now there's credible news about checks in Danshui , so we all sianz a little liao.

the mamasans he spoke to say that things are still as usual - but we all know how mamasans are like, they simply want you to book more rooms with them and will be vague about the true situation because they won't want you to cancel your bookings with them.
he noted that his regular MMs seem to be un-contactable, which is unusual.


(2) i spoke to MMs who were working yesterday - they all gave me the same feedback that the atmosphere was tense last night as many of them were tipped off about possible checks. Apparently, the check is throughout the entire Huizhou city, not specifically targeted at Legend Hotel.


(3) Before my departure flight from Bangkok last night (about 9pm), my regular girl was so mushy and eager to meet me - that she volunteered to go collect my reserved hotel room key and helped pay in advance. however when i arrived, she said that it's not safe and she needed to go home
this is such a big change of attitude within a span of 4 hours, apparently the tip-off happened between 10pm - 1am.

(she invited me to her house but i didn't want to spend a tiring night in some old, dusty neighbourhood house and leave a 488rmb hotel room vacant, so i decided to just get a good sleep alone)

I just came back from one week in ZH and CP (spanning 2 weeks as I went for some sight seeing in other places too).

the SG bro was staying at a Hotel in ChangPing famous for having the best sauna during CP's heydays, he found a pimp using the "search people nearby" function in Wechat and ordered a girl to his room.

Two GongAn policemen came banging on their door, one of them was carrying a video camera. they got the masterkey card from the hotel room which gave them access to his room. they arrested him and the girl. The two policemen wanted a bribe of 2000RMB each (total 4000rmb), our SG bro refused, thinking that the amount is ridiculous and decided to just follow them back and call for the help of Singapore Embassy. Back in the Shenzhen detention place, he called the SG embassy and it only offered to help call in a chinese lawyer on monday (it was friday night)


Desperate, he called our Canadian lawyer friend SER001 who can't really speak Chinese, so he went to the detention place with a translator.

Two police chiefs at the detention now demanded a total of 35,000rmb bribe (instead of the 4,000rmb bribe amount).
At first, our bro SER001 wanted to just walk away ~ but the police chiefs kept retaining him and invited him to counter-offer.

Our friend SER001 bargained it down to 16,000RMB + a 2-way ticket to Bangkok + accommodation sponsorship + vouchers for Nataree massage for the two police officers.
How the 16,000RMB cash was split?
7,000RMB each for the two police chief, and 1000RMB each for the two junior police officers that arrested our SG bro.
the two junior police officers were angry that they only got half of what they would have gotten

so they released our SG bro (after he spent one night in detention) and destroyed the video recordings and all paperwork related to the arrest.

had ''overstayed'' because of the extra 2 days border closure
as a result the china side fined a record number of foreigners in china for overstaying their visas for 1 to 2 days

it was only when we reached the china-mongolia border on the last day of the visa then we realised it was closed , the broder guard said last minute decision by the mongolian side and they the border guards were only informed
on that actual day, we felt we were stabbed in the back
how to fly to hong kong or south korea that is to exit china at such short notice? we had less than 12 hours to midnight(when the visa expire) , we were stranded on a hot noon day at the border crossing
the germans had already booked their hotel rooms in mongolia and were not willing to cancel as that would make them lose the deposit they had paid by credit card online
so we waited another 2 days because the border only opened on the 3rd day
we had to pay fines - some lucky ones got away with 500 rmb ,few others paid 1000 rmb ,5 of them had to pay 1500 rmb, fxxxx the mongolia government
so i can understand how the guy in changping felt when he was caught with his pants down
in actual fact the china side did not close the border, it was mongolia who closed ,so we the group of us could not exit china ,it was not really our fault

However technically you violated the China visa overstay rules.

Since there's no definite announcement on the re-opening date from Mongolia side.
Plans to exit China from another border or by plane should be made soonest.
There's no point in waiting.

Overstay by 1 day is better than overstay by 3 days.
China immigration may be more understanding if they see your effort in exiting China as soon as you can.
Such overstay records are not good if you still want to continue to visit China frequently.
Repeat offenders will get higher penalties or even jail time.

- You’re in China! And foreigners, too used to the “due process of law” instinctively revert to this thinking even when caught with their pants down. Bad mistake, for in China it’s rule BY law.
- IMHO, best to NOT even mention your consulate etc., as it not only automatically puts them on the defensive, it brings out their Nationalistic fervor. And remember, not even the U.S. can do much, not even when they bring out their Secretary of State etc. And for sure, no country will make a peep about mongering cases for it’s impossible for ANY government justify defending illegal and immoral acts.
- I speculate here, but I can imagine that this monger probably argued instead of trying to settle; a big no-no because too many LE actions are ONLY geared towards lining their own pockets. The more you argue, the more they’re gonna be adamant and build their case to justify their actions to their superiors. “….our SG bro refused, thinking that the amount is ridiculous…” Really?
- Calling in a Canadian Lawyer to negotiate? And a translator with him? Oh my! Got a nice fat fish on our hands here! our manager Gigi who helped to book our KTV rooms tomorrow and day after (17 & 18 Nov) advised us to cancel our bookings or postpone till after 18 Nov, reason being that many MMs are advised not to come to work ~ so there will be few girls for pickings.

We postponed our original 17 & 18 Nov KTV sessions to 20 & 21 Nov, on the advice of our manager Gigi who helped us booked the rooms. She's honest and didn't try to be vague about the raids and checks. Indeed, it seems safer and wiser to wait a couple more days. Meanwhile our two bros who arrived yesterday went to Desert Storm KTV 惠州曼横顿，they tried the flower street and it turns out better than we expected, but that place is horrible with dust storms blowing - perhaps that's why the police didn't bother to raid there as its too dusty lol.

三人设套劫奸女网友被抓

据罗湖警方透露，今年7月，罗湖万事达酒店发生一宗恶性案件，一女子应约到酒店与一男网友开房时，遭遇了两 名假警察实施抢劫，这名女子被抢走手机、金饰。抢劫实施过程中，这名女子更是被迫与男网友发生性关系，还被 拍下性爱视频和照片，遭遇勒索3000元。两天后，警方在罗湖将三名嫌疑人抓获。三人被警方认为涉嫌抢劫、 强奸罪。

其中一名假女警便是年仅16岁的周某艳。实际上就在半个月之前，她还是一名受害者。根据公安机关侦查查明， 今年7月1日，前述案件中嫌疑人刘某与张某在东莞厚街镇密谋抢劫失足女。

案发当天，张某在厚街镇康乐路富康旅馆开了房，约见失足女周某艳在房间内嫖娼。整个作案过程与前述作案过程 如出一辙，只是作案过程中少了一个“女警察”。

作案过程中，刘某冒充警察扫黄，将张某与周某艳抓获，对周某艳的手机及个人财物实施了抢劫。警方透露，周某 艳供述，刘某当时冒充警察提出要罚款，索要2万元。其间周某艳提供了其母亲的电话。

周某艳的母亲向女士告诉南都记者，她确实多次接到有男子冒充警察，要求其支付2万元保其女儿无事，她为此选 择向东莞警方报案，并没有支付钱款。

而见索要不到钱财，嫌疑人刘某竟想出要拉周某艳入伙。警方透露，刘某拉周某艳入伙是因为觉得周某艳年龄小， 容易控制。另一名同伙张某则称，周某艳本来不答应，但是在刘某的威胁说服之下，终于答应加入他们一起作案。 周某艳本人也称，她一度以为刘某真的是警察，加上对方威胁她卖淫要判刑一年，还说喜欢她要她做女朋友，就此 同意和刘某张某一起干活。

家属指警方不作为

周某艳的母亲向女士告诉南都记者，7月初，她多次接到冒充警察的电话，要她给2万元保其女儿无事。由于她本 人在东莞的清溪镇工作，女儿是在厚街镇工作，她为此在东莞的清溪镇与厚街镇之间奔波，多次向警方报案，称女 儿遭到绑架。

向女士提供了与东莞110的多次通话记录。但是向女士告诉南都记者，两镇警方为究竟谁该立案没有定论。“他 们说我女儿是被骗到传销组织了。”向女士说，警方不作为，导致女儿如今身陷囹圄。

南都记者昨日致电东莞厚街警方，截至发稿时并未获得回应。广东诚公律师事务所郭向锋律师就表示 ，根据《刑事 诉 讼 法》有 关 规 定 ，公 检法机关对于报案、举报的事实及材料必须予以接收，不能推诿。

First tim posting FR here: Have to thank Taikor Panado for the manager contact. We wee there before th current strong wind started blowing from 9/11 to11/11. There were 8 of us in this group & we got the big rooms in level 3 of Legend KTV. On the 3rd nite, 5 of us went down to HK & the remaining his took a small room in level 4.

We arrived in HK first & went to SZ thu Loh Wu. In SZ, we have arranged for a MPV to take us to Danshui (1h+). Arrived in DS around 4pm & checked in to New Century Hotel. Room price is abt RMB 320 per nite.

We freshen up & wen for food. Being newbies in town, didn't venture far. There was a Hunan Food restaurant & we had dinner there. The food ok, bill came to RMB 300+. There were prawn, fish, soup, vege & chick.

With full stomach, we proceeded to have HAPPY TIME. We reach Legend KTV at 7pm & we thought fcuk....all the chiou gurls taken already. To our suprise, it's not even open yet. Unlike CP, KTV here open around 8pm. So we have a pretty DJ take us to our room & we played with our fingers.... 😄 - choose songs, order beer (Budweiser draft) & chit chat.

1) tips off by members of the public esp those whose wives or daughters
have been harassed by mongers such as in the xian case where mongers mistook his wife as a streetwalker and harass her, the guy decided to tip off the police
2) tips off by undercover reporters in china
this is the most common and gong an gets a lot of feedback from these reporters
3) other crimes have occured in the ktvs or hotels
sometimes when drug abusers are arrested they will confess to other crimes
saying they know vice is going on inside the hotel or ktv
and then the police will follow up
