HI all,

I am just back from phuket. went there with some friends for a couple of days.
we stay at patong beach area, which should be the most popular area in phuket.
so I am here to provide some info on the cheonging scene there.

ok, for starter, there are many massage shops. For 200 baht, you will be able to get a 1 hr thai massage. if you are lucky, your massage girl might offer you some "special" at additional charges. I was lucky to be able to bring back my massage girl to my hotel on my 2nd visit. she told me she is not like those Soi Blanga ladies. so in the end, i got free fuck from her :) we even manage to make love in the small massage cubicle on my 3rd visit to her massage place.

for nightlife, you can go to Soi Blanga, which is a street with many discos and pubs. we went to a disco called Hollywood. it is quite a big place with many working girls inside. you can just approach any girl you like to dance, drink, talk with them. at the end of the night, if you want to bring her back, just tell her so and she will follow you back to hotel. The next morning, just give 1500 baht to her cos that is the standard rate according to my friend. all my friends do the same thing, and there is no complaint, so i guess it should be alright.

Ok my belated last part of FR for my CNY trip.

Phuket is high season from early nov to end march. This is the period where almost all of Europe farangs go and escape winter.Well perhaps not all of europe but economic crisis or not, it was really superb crowded when I was there. My fav hotel C&N patong was fully booked till mid feb.I met many farang from all over europe.

When farangs are there in large numbers means all prices go up including hotels, massage and even the girls for overnight. Someone quote 1500 baht which is actually the low peak rate. Ofcourse if you are a handsome sweet talker and you dont mind not having SYT, possible for you to get girls at much lower rate.

Hotel Review

I actually changed 3 hotels since I reached there. First one was T-Sun-Shine near Roxy Mercure on the stretch of road leading to Cristine massage. The boss is German and quite friendly. Willing to give me discount of 500baht so room cost only 1100 but because it is about 20 mins walk to bangla so I decided to switch after 1 night

Second one was Grand Motana Phuket. Looks very good on the outside like a big 4 star hotel. Got swimming pool and 16 storey hight and room only 1290 but one of the worst in Phuket. Hotel is 15 years ago. Many walls are scratched but no renovation. The water heater and toilet flush do not really work. I think the boss already preparing to close the hotel down. It was really so bad that wife wanted to change.

Last is Patong White and one of the better hotels. It is located at soi san sabai. This stretch of road just opposite soi bangla has really developed since I came to phuket a few years ago. There is a big cluster of nice friendly hotels here. Infact you dont even have to book a hotel when you come to patong. Just come to this road and ask for the rate 1 by 1. You can also ask the recept to show you the room before deciding.

Patong White is opened by a 2nd generation thai chinese. The recept is very friendly, hotel is very new. Rooms are nicely design, clean and comfy.Nice breakfast at only 100baht. I stayed there for the rest of my stay in patong.

Only downside is no bellboy and no life so you got to carry your own luggage.

The new Jungleton shopping centre is really big but I wonder if the stores can make $$. The stuff there quite ex. The bowlling alley on top is even more ex than singapore. The new M hotel also look really nice.

You can go snorkeling or karting in Phuket. If you plan to travel a bit, perhaps you should rent a scooter.

from town now should be about 120bht per day. patong never tried. better to have international license. why pay? sin liscence may be not valid. i recomend you rent a car or jeep better, hell of a lot safer.:D

Thai massage or foot massage -- clean one without hanky panky -- in Patong is 300 bahts an hour. This is pretty much standard price nowadays.

Traveling from Phuket town to Patong, you will go downhill as approaching Patong and see a go cart track on the left side....can't miss.

My friend and I went to watch the AGOGO shows. Got really bored watching all the butterfly boys (that's what the waitresses call them). I will be in Patong somewhere in mid June. This will be my second trip there and it will be a shorter one; only 4 days 3 nights. The last time I went was 7 nights and I felt I didn't have much time to explore. Hence, I would like to get help from senior bros so that I would save a lot of time.

1) Karaoke pubs: I've been to 1 before at Soi San Sabai but it was quite boring really. No action, no nothing. We just managed to flirt with the bar girls and buy them drinks. But they don't sit with customers. Any "naughty" karaoke places to recommend?

2) Disco: I've been to Banana and Tiger and it was fun. I picked up a swedish girl who grinded with me the whole night. Didn't even want drinks when I offered. But she didn't up at my place. I was wondering if there are any discotheques where tourists pick up one another. Know what I mean?

3) Massage: I remember getting a massage everyday on the last trip, and there were many massage parlours here and there. So it's really difficult to choose or know which ones are the better ones. As far as I'm concerned, Soi Kepsup has good ones. But with the wide range, I get confused. Any recommendations? Also, I've been to Christines for soapy massage but I felt the prices were too steep. Are there any other soapy places which are cost-friendly?

hi, Rapier, i think u can brng the FL back but u got to pay a joiner fees of $500-$1000 depend on the class of hotel that u stay unless u pay for Twin stay but u r staying alone then u can add her name in n i think u dun have to pay the joiner fees... enjoy urself there....

Abt THBT 600 to 700. I think it's much more worth to book the driver whole ask him to drive u around phuket 1 day trip. It's only cost me THBT 900.
If YOu got time then go to "Central" shopping centre in town where you can see more local thais... Then u will felt the different compare gals in Patong~~

Sure the cab driver will knw where are fantaSIA and Pinklady......

I've stayed at Ibis. You just sign the girls in (for your safety, they say) and no extra charge. No limit to the number of girls you want to bring in.

Much more easy, just walking distance go to clubbin....
Once you hook a gal in pub near to hotel not need to waste money to take tuk tuk or cab go bck to hotel....

Ibis quite nice to stay at, and also last time cheap, cheap. But it's quite far from makan place and clubs. Makan places about 10 mins tuk-tuk ride. Clubs about 15 mins ride.

Just came back from Phuket this morning.

Honestly I find that Phuket is not as enjoyable as in Zhuhai/DongGuan. Things are generally expensive in Phuket.....& if you are not familiar, they will "ketok" you. :mad:

Even food prices are more expensive even compare to Singapore! :eek:

The only thing that I enjoyed was being relax & sleep until 12pm everyday in the hotel room. I was staying in Baipho Hotel for 4 nights.

i got tons of questions i like to ask but i know this is not a travel forum. so i hope i dun annoy anyone here, just wish to get some opinons and help.

accomodation wise what is the best reccommendation that u guys suggest?
im contemplating between deevana patong or somewhere cheaper like Baumanburi hotel or the sea sun sand hotel...
somewhere near to the beach and as well as to the "action"

next will be transportation, heard that u can book a cab for the whole day ard S$30+ or it is better to just hail a cab when u need it?

and finally for the "night activities"
would phuket city disco such as hollywood or some major disco appeal more better than the ones in soi blanga?
as in i've heard phuket city offer the fairer thais and they prefer asians company as well.

hope some brothers can help me out with the above

As for transport, i dun tink u can get a whole day S$30 rate.....If you're doing quite abit of moving around, its better u rent or get a cab/tuktuk when needed

As a hint on where to stay, zoom in on 2 focal points, 200yearsold road and bangla road. Any hotel within this perimeter is near to 'nite activities' and no problem walking back when drunk or with FL. Cos from 2-5am, the tuktuks think they are Mercedes cab in Singapore!!

I stayed in Baipho Hotel for 4 nights for a total of 4,300baht (low season special rates) and they provide me pick-up from airport to hotel free of charge, the bed is very comfortable, with free WIFI. However the hotel not very near to Patong Beach (I thought safer in case Tsunami. :D). I rented a motobike for 200baht per day, top-up gasoline at about 100baht per day. Without a motobike, you are like handicap.

Just be careful when you are at Soi Bangla when ppl approach you to see "sexy lady, pingpong show"at Agogo Pubs. Because the drinks pricelist is 3-5 times more expensive then you just walk in on your own. E.g 500bath for a faking beer! :mad: If you walk in on your own, you pay 100-150baht for a beer. :D

Go for the parasailing, quite fun and have an overview of patong beach, do it at around 5.30pm-6pm during sunset.....beautiful. They will try to ketok' you at 1,500baht, can negotiate to 1,000baht. It just a 5-6 minutes ride.

Today is my last day at phuket. i was here from 29 June to 3 July. This is my 2nd trip to phuket in a year.

Basically 1 spend a total of 1.5k (hotel,Flights, Island Tour, massage everyday,food, gals)for this tour, well spend as i did enjoy myself.

Stay at Patong Beach IBIS Hotel great hotel gal friendly only need the gal to register at the counter no fee needed.

There is lots of massage palour at patong beach aleast more than 20 palours. Did not go to Christine Massage as i have try soapy massage on the first trip to phuket. Cost 2800B for 2 hours, did not find it worthly...

Had Thai and Oil massage everyday, Thai Massage is 200b, Oil Massage 300B. Bros please do not expect SYT at this palours mostly MILF of cos do have a few acceptable gals(Have to lower your expection). Most of the gals i have are good at massage and are fun... HJ at 1000b, Mostly only offer HJ as the space is small, some have partion, some only a curtain. Not every massage i take up the offer depend on my mood also.. even i turn them down not once any gals have shown me back face. However i do come cross gals ask for 3000b just for HJ only, which of cos i turn down. Bros you might have to nego the price for Special.

2nd and 3rd night i brought 2 massage gals back hotel for fun.. somehow gals here dun talk abt price for special. It seem like the gals know what is the market price... Not sure if 2000B for whole night is too ex??? i find it ok.. Bros, you need to pop the qns if u want to bring the gals back hotel. As for clubbing.. i would say bros dun waste your time visiting agogo pubs, soi eric, soi dragon, Tiger disco as all this bars or pub u need to pay bar fine depending on the bar starting from 500b to 1500b.

Bros please do not accept those touts telling you best prices for drinks or tiger show along the street as you will need to pay more for your drinks. The best part is when you visit the gents there is 3 guys in the toilet which will massage for you, crack your bone and neck when u are washing you hands.. very good service like kings... do give tips i have them each 100b and the shown me a secret ... the glass panel at the gent can see through ladies next door.. dun think the ladies know abt it....Free Show....

i would be making my 1st trip to phuket with 1 guy friend this coming july and i would like to seek the advice of seniors and brothers who have been there before.

im planning a short getaway with the sightseeing and island-visiting in the daytime and as well as some LOS infamous night activities

accomodation wise what is the best reccommendation that u guys suggest?
im contemplating between deevana patong or somewhere cheaper like Baumanburi hotel or the sea sun sand hotel...
somewhere near to the beach and as well as to the "action"

next will be transportation, heard that u can book a cab for the whole day ard S$30+ or it is better to just hail a cab when u need it?

and finally for the "night activities"
would phuket city disco such as hollywood or some major disco appeal more better than the ones in soi blanga?
as in i've heard phuket city offer the fairer thais and they prefer asians company as well.

I stayed in Baipho Hotel for 4 nights for a total of 4,300baht (low season special rates) and they provide me pick-up from airport to hotel free of charge, the bed is very comfortable, with free WIFI. However the hotel not very near to Patong Beach (I thought safer in case Tsunami. :D). I rented a motobike for 200baht per day, top-up gasoline at about 100baht per day. Without a motobike, you are like handicap.

Just be careful when you are at Soi Bangla when ppl approach you to see "sexy lady, pingpong show"at Agogo Pubs. Because the drinks pricelist is 3-5 times more expensive then you just walk in on your own. E.g 500bath for a faking beer! :mad: If you walk in on your own, you pay 100-150baht for a beer. :D

Go for the parasailing, quite fun and have an overview of patong beach, do it at around 5.30pm-6pm during sunset.....beautiful. They will try to ketok' you at 1,500baht, can negotiate to 1,000baht. It just a 5-6 minutes ride.

Patong bars to close July 7, Asarnha Bucha Day

PATONG, PHUKET: All entertainment venues in Patong will close on July 7 to observe the Buddhist holiday of Asarnha Bucha.

Sompetch Moosopon, president of the Patong Entertainment Business Association (PEBA), said the PEBA committee met at the Baan Sukhothai Hotel & Spa on Tuesday to discuss plans for Asarnha Bucha Day, which is a public holiday in Thailand.

It was agreed to hold merit-making ceremonies as well as a range of activities aimed at building camaraderie among the scores of people employed in the Patong nightlife entertainment industry.

“This will be the seventh consecutive year that we will close entertainment venues in Patong to give workers the chance to make merit and reflect on the importance of Buddhism. We want to establish this as a tradition for Soi Bangla and all of Patong,” he said.

Employees of over 400 entertainment venues are expected to take part, he said.

Events will kick off just after dawn, a time when many nightlife workers are normally just going to bed.

At 7am there will be an alms-offering ceremony organized by Patong Municipality, with merit-makers offering monks rice, non-perishable foodstuffs, robes and other necessities.

Financial contributions will also be accepted by the Patong Hospital Foundation, a charity set up to help poor patients pay their medical bills, he said.

The Patong Football Field on the beach road will be the focus of activity in the afternoon, when “sport color day” activities will see workers from various nightlife establishments band together into nine teams, each with a different color.

Bar boys from Soi Paradise and other sois catering to the needs of gay clientele will compete on the purple and pink teams, for example.

The wide range of competitive events will include such classics as tug-of-war and sack races. Awards will also be given to the teams with the best cheering sections.

“We want to develop harmony and give everyone a chance to have fun with one another,” Mr Sompetch said.

The merit-making and team-building activities will help create a unified spirit, helping industry workers fight together to survive during these tough economic times, he said.

The economic downturn has hit the industry hard, with the number of tourists down an estimated 50% year-on-year, Mr Sompetch said.

“I can’t predict what the situation will be like by the end of the year, but I don’t see any positive signs,” he said.

In light of the economic downturn, PEBA strongly supports extending operating hours past those currently mandated by the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The MoI currently issues licenses under six categories depending on the nature of entertainment and services offered and whether the establishment falls inside a designated entertainment zone. Currently, the latest any nightlife venue in Phuket can legally remain open is 2am.

PEBA’s most recent bid to have operating hours extended got a cool response from Phuket Governor Wichai Phraisa-ngop earlier this month.

The governor, himself an MoI appointee, said any extension must come with MoI approval.

Earlier this month, Mr Sompetch reported that the downturn had forced some 30% of the estimated 500 entertainment venues in Patong to close down or go out of business completely.

Find Bangla and you'll find Hollywood. Find Hollywood, walk towards the beach, turn left at the coastal road, walk 5 mins and u'll find Banana.

So when u going dude? Your hotel is Poppa palace? Looking at the map not very near to Bangla, prolly 15 mins walk.....but there's many seafood shop both along the coastal road or along 200 years old road. So along the way can eat then go over bangla to 'chill'. If i'm not mistaken outside your hotel have all the makan stalls liao......cheap and good seafood.......enjoy!!

Bro Jaded first time to phuket??? Dun worrry i stay at IBIS Patong which is 20mins walk down on the way there is lots of seafood shop so you wont have a chance to feel hungry. for massage i prefer those massage palours near christine massage as the gals looked better than those near your hotel.

Yes head to Banana or Hollywood instead as rest of the pub is more for Ang Mo and Soi Eric has lots of LB.. so make sure u confirmed that is 100% Gal before you bring back .... ir ok to do abit of rubbing there.. anyway if the gal want to follow you back she will do most of the hinting etc....

I only paid 1200B for Phi Phi island tour package. Transfer, soft drink and lunch is provided worth it... during the tour i found out from some of the ang mo that they are paying 1500b to 1800b for the same trip... hehe.... lucky i am a chinese....

3 days 2 nite is very short if you really wan to enjoy , I being there many time and stay there for 2 weeks usually many things for you to enjoy and the clubbing scene is much ways better than Singapore , you even can get hook up with girls just by playing pool at any pub. your short stays also not enough for the trip to phi phi.. time pass very fast usually when u in holiday.

ya, izzt all so commercial all the while since the Tsunami as i went in 2000 izzt was $200B for 2drink slowly it become more n more EX but Banana use to have Japanese Babe but nowadays there r less n less of them as u can see more of the Korea Girl there, so maybe u guy can try ur luck there... :D

Went to Phuket not long ago. 5D4N trip. Stayed at Grand Montana Phuket at Patong. For those going to Phuket, don't stay there. Spend a little more money and stay somewhere else. Its one of the few high rise hotel around Patong but damn old. But have to admit, the sea view was fantastic though.

Didn't really do much there, except the normal stuffs. Drinks are freaking cheap. Cigarettes too though there's limited brands for those. Made a couple of friends with the locals there. Damn nice people. They showed me and my brother around and all that. Free transportation to Phuket Town, though we did treat them to a seafood dinner at this place by the sea. Don't really remember where it is but it's at the edge of Phuket Town.

Not sure if bros here know about this place, there's a small Muay Thai training place tucked away in an alley. Apparently it's not the old training place as what the locals told me. I'm really not good with names. But if bros here know which one i'm referring to then you guys should go the massage parlour right across from it. The girls there are damn pretty.

The FJ i had there only cost THB$800 instead of the normal THB$1000. Totally worth the money. The girls were of course experienced. I remembered walking pass the place and one of the girl pulled my hand and as normal said, "Massage sir? We have all type of massages but i'll give you special massage." Comparing January and the mid year timing, there wasn't any increase. Or rather not much increase i might say. Maybe THB$100 more for airport transfer. Drinks wise, a bottle of Absolut was still going at THB$360 at some places.

Can try to food at PS hotel, was good but this time never try. They renovated the lobby so it looks better now. But even the reno was quite some time back. Gosh, i'm away for so long. For good food at Farang price, can try shop name number 6 right across PS hotel. American fried rice was my friend's fav. Their pad thai is good as well.

Yah, agree the room is big and clean. but hor the room is too big which makes it looks empty and sparse. The toilet also big big. 1 more thing is they weld down the key chain and the key which means u have to take out the whole key when u leave the room. Cannot leave the aircon on, when u come back in the afternoon damn hot after 5 flight of stairs.

ok, so i just got back from phuket. Went with a bunch of friends so i had backup in case i got bored.
There was a whole bunch of places to go but for newbies (which i was, now i consider myself lao jiao... haha), my suggestion is to head to fantasia around 815pm and pick up a girl. (which was what i did)

Went to Fantasia, Pink Lady Chamois but stuck to Fantasia for my girl - warning, its really expensive at fantasia (4k for overnight) plus other costs like drinks and what not, not for those without spare change.

patong's more on the white side with most of the foreigners there, hollywood is still buzzing and the rest of the ago ago clubs as well. patong's great for massage and a nice nightlife, capping the day, and what's not to enjoy on the beach for the daytime. your luck to find a syt, i found one so i was qt lucky :) the rest seemed qt mature and 'old'. just my 2 cents worth.

didn't explore the town, cos was on a beach holiday. Got some place at the back lane of the patong shopping centre to stay. Low season i think 500baht per night, aircon, hot shower and WiFi. Pretty clean place with cable TV too! But if you not backpacker type, maybe you dun like, to me (a small fry), this is luxury already. Room got CD if different sizes for you some more... chargeable (30 baht) if you use of course.

went to Hollywood and all the other places. Lot of WL everywhere on streets... but me more interested in hooking a girl up than WL wo go ard asking "go home? go home?" Talked to one ar the bar... got her interested and we went Hollywood to dance after 3am, when her work finish. She spoke very decent English, from BKK in fact.

She initially say she dun go home with people anyhow, then smoked and offer me cig... i dirty dance with her, praise her a little, bought her a drink.... then ask her to go home... she agree shyly! Just came back last week from phuket, I love the place, I rented bike with my friends and go around from patong to karon to kata beach. Is about 200 bhat a day for the bike rental. Stayed at karon beach the hotel was outstanding.

I went TAI PAN, Soi Eric , Ago Ago Bars. I love tai pan cause of the music and crowds. 1st night pick up a girl at tai pan for 1000bhat ST and went to hotel . The drinks are quite cheap to from 8pm to 11pm all drink are half price.

2nd day went to one of the mssage area and got the girl to HJ me, for 500 b + 300 B for oil mssage.

3rd day went back to taipain and drink till my hearts content and first day i won the 2000bhat lucky draw.

hi, Bro goderos, izzt about 2++ away from Phuket to Phuket, by motorbike or car also can n izzt very easy as the signboard is quite clear cut as u find one town to another one, as i have rode my bike up from Singapore to Phuket n izzt dammed tired, n went up to Phuket with my friend on a car in CNY, n i see that u r going there for almost more than a month so maybe u can rent a car or motorbike on monthly so izzt much cheaper but u better have ur International Licence to stand by as u maybe stop for random check conduct by the police, hope u enjoy ur stay there... :D hope this help to clear all ur doubt...

try going there around 1am-2am as most thai ppl party late, n there r 2part of it in Hollywood if u like Hip-Hop R&B is the just after the stair but if u want Techno or Trance izzt at the back of it as u got to walk all the way in... but i still miss the Dragon Ago-Ago where they have nice girl there...... n the nice strip show which cost $400B with a drink n i miss it too..... :D
