The accused is Mustaqim bin Abdul Kadir (“Mustaqim”), a 37-year-old male Singaporean. At the material time, Mustaqim worked as a private-hire car driver for Grab. He faces one capital charge of trafficking in a controlled drug (the “Charge”) under the Misuse of Drugs Act (Cap 185, 2008 Rev Ed) (the “MDA”).
