Covid-19 cases at Natureland Siglap

Five existing cases have been traced to Natureland Siglap, 907 East Coast Road.

Obviously theses cases happened before circuit breaker started on 7th April.

This one is the Singkie version of Thailand's Healthland Spa.... with several branches in S'pore. Many Ah Tiong Tai Tais like to socialise there and place is overpriced for people like us.

Personal hygiene, both ML and customer, and a huge dose of luck Sometimes spa can seem high class but never change the towels also, we never know.

I find it strange because these infections probably happened a week plus minus before CB, when many spas already had very few customers. Or did it happen during the very last weekend or day before 7 April when many rushed to get their last "fix"??

Good news, now for bros who stayed clean since CB start, this is already the all-clear sign.

We can only start measuring the lifespan of the virus from the first day of lockdown. So Sg is at least 2 months behind the curve. That’s why the fiasco with the dorms. Nature land is just one but probably not the only one. Some of the unlinked cases should be traceable to spas as well but of course if one caught it through fj with a ML ,that statistic would likely be an inconvenient truth and swept under the rug.

Not fogetting, what we term as "dirty" spa may be "cleaner" because surely the ML have to wash hands thoroughly after jerking off customer Frequent hand washing is one of the precautions against covid!

Yea. 14 days has been used as the median for onset but it’s documented that people can be asymptotic, undetected and still spread the virus up to 28 days. Look what just happened to Harbin. https://mothership.sg/2020/04/covid-...rbin-lockdown/

We are now in third week of CB - it’s clear community spread cases are coming down, but not as fast as expected, which is why it got extended.

Best everyone keep doing your part to limit contact with others.

It may not be a bad thing that a spa has become a new cluster. I say not so bad for us as most of us reading this piece of news do not frequent this spa. So most of us are safe and not directly affected by this cluster. Given that the CB is more than 2 weeks already, even if you frequent this spa, if you do not have any symptoms, the 14 day period is over too.

Also good because those who die die think the risk of contracting covid-19 is low, this is a wake up call. If clean spa can get it, dirty spa or thos ML operating from condo will get it too. Better play safe until a vaccine is available.

Even after CB period, social distancing will still be here to stay, wear mask when out. Massage being non-essential like Geylang chicken farm will be among last to, open by then sad to say maybe some will be closed for good!

I agree that it’s probably due to the returning PRC customers who brought the virus.

quite surprised that a legit spa is the first to be affected.
