That day my colleagues were discussing about karma and bonking around, may it be casual ons or paid sex. They say they know of some guy who gave birth to an intellectually disabled child, den they say because of karma, as the guy was known to be a player before marriage, go around bonking whores and ons.

That set me thinking, as a non devout Buddhist, but still as someone subscribing to a relegion, shouLD i stop indulging in paid sex as well. I'm afraid that karma might befall me or my future kids....

Anyone having the same thoughts as well?

Bro, my thinking is:

Paying for sex is okay, since you are not cheating the girl of her feeling or anything.

But if you are actually preying on someone's virginity, then sooner or later there will be karma, it is just a matter of time. As the saying goes 不是不报，时辰未到。

Zero belief in karma, at least not within this lifetime. So many rich assholes everyday treat supermodels as sex slaves also rich and successful till the end lol.

I think belief in karma is as detrimental as belief in God. People only do good in fear of punishment instead of finding out the meaning and value of it. Religious doctrine can govern morality but it also shackles people from figuring out what they really want. I prefer more flexible ways to be spiritual, even something as simple as staring into the night sky.

I believe there's nothing sinful about having casual or paid sex, but only if you're single or not in a committed relationship.

I'm pretty sure in Buddhism, regardless of paid sex or casual sex, it's equally sinful, because u r committing the act out of lust instead of love or procreation. The body is as sacred as a temple, anyone whu attempts to violate it is deemed sinful

But on a conscience level, you are quite right to say that paid sex is less detrimental coz u r not harming the feelings of anyone.

Don't ever think of Karma as a 'reward', like don't do good and expect. Just do good, good will befall you in ways you cannot imagine.

You guys are in the wrong religion. There is a religion that accepts you for who you are. It does not believe in karma. It is about an imperfect Man saved from hell by a perfect God.

This perfect God came and dined with the worst kind of sinners: prostitutes and tax collectors. The tax collectors then were traitors to their own country. They collected taxes for foreigners. Your occasional visit to FL pales in comparison. This perfect God accepted these terrible sinners. He never scolded or condemned them, and felt perfectly comfortable around them.
