A pair of conjoined twins born with two two heads, four hands and two feet have been dumped by their parents at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The infants were abandoned in the paediatric surgery unit earlier today in Bangladesh's capital city.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Deputy Director Khaja Abdul Gafursaid said: 'The kids, with two heads, four hands and two legs, were born in an unknown clinic in Dhaka and were taken to the DMCH on Friday night.

'Later, their parents fled leaving the twins at the infant ward.'
The twins currently have no guardian and are now under the supervision of ward master Zillur Rahman, according to the






The girls were under the care of Associate Professor Dr Shainoor Islam, according to the twin’s father Raju Miah.

The twins were born on September 28 to farmer Raju and his wife Shahida Begum in Gaibandha, as reported by the Dhaka Tribune.

They were born at home with the assistance of a midwife.



They are able to move, urinate and cry, said Nasima Akther Beauty, the nurse who is taking care of them

The case follows soon after another set of conjoined twins were born in the country and taken to the DMCH.


Yesterday it was reported that a pair of twins conjoined at the head have been successfully separated after a 20-hour operation.

Anias and Jadon McDonald, 13 months old, are recovering in the Bronx's Montefiore Hospital after their life-threatening operation on Thursday.

According to their surgeon - Dr James Goodrich - it is incredible they made it this far.

Half way through the operation, the veteran neurosurgeon considered stopping the procedure altogether when they discovered the boys shared far more brain tissue than they had expected - even despite using 3D imaging to prepare.
