Let's study some history. Hong Kong been part of China for 2000 years and Singapore had been part of Malaysia for 3000 years but who are the true Hong Kongese and Singaporeans ?
Let us no deny 98%+ of the Hong Kong population and Singaporean migrated around the 1800's

Who are the true natives of Hong Kong people ? they were the Tanka ( boat people ) a aboriginal ethnic group who became sinicized, other indegenious groups of Hong Kong were Hakka and Hoklo, Waitou speakers.

Who are the true natives of Singaporean people ? they were the Negrito's (now extinct by Malays ) , than came the Malays.
