Thai Military Coup!!!!
Sorry not very related but then wat will happen to all the thai FLs in s'pore now that the airport to thailand is closed???
Hmmmm kinda feel sad for them, so started this thread.

Don't worry. They have coup there all the time. Used to it. Everything back to normal in a few days. The babes will come and go as usual. Supply chain slightly affected only. Can bonk as per normal.

i took the first flight out from BKK this morning. i saw some travellers camp at the airport since last night to make sure they can catch their flight. no rush and big crowd in the airport... no army spotted at the airport also.
btw, the coup happened at 10.00 pm last night... at 9.30 p.m, i was still TCSS with the taxi driver who brought me around tat Lumphini park to find some FLs standing at the road side....just curious and stop and ask one FL, how much, answer 500 Bht...i think is for one shot...shit i should take her... then when the news break on the coup, i will ask her to stay for overnight to protect her liao lah!!! xiao liao

way i see it, the coup should lower the price of FL in Singapore.
think about it, the TH baht has dropped in value. FL here get paid in Sing$, thus for the same amount of money they can get more Thai baht in return. so..shouldn't they be paid less Sing $? tony

Actually the Thai Baht has not really drop in value vis a vis S$.
Even against US$, it is very marginal. I cancelled my trip for tomorrow to BKK, just worried no shopping ... chatuchak close or something like that. But most probably will go up in 2 weeks time. (luckily, I bought SQ tics with no penalty for cancellation, just need to rebook within a month)

Agree with naemlo, i dont think there will be fighting already, if hv would hv done so earlier, the military supporting thaksin must hv strike a deal liao.
But I think short term, some shops may not open ... BTW, I check budget tickets this morning, must be alot of cancellation .... cheap cheap man
