IMF 2006 -Singapore
Hi bros,
Just wondering if the up-coming IMF 2006 in Singapore would result in more raids on the streets and joints. Heard many MM are avoiding KTVs from this week onwards. If this is to be true, guess these 3 weeks would be facing a on-coing dry spell. Any intel or hear say? BTW, is it only me or is the site server super slow today? |

Re: IMF 2006 - Singapore
And also a warning to bros here that the police has publicly stated their rights to do a search on your belongings anywhere they deem fit, not necessarily just in the vicinity of Suntec. I quote from Todayonline
"On the ground, too, do not be surprised if you have to undergo random security checks and have your belongings inspected anywhere on the island." So, take minimal risks on contraband, if you really need to. You know the saying in hokkien 'When one is unlucky, raising birds also become chickens'! My point is, if you are damn unlucky, who knows you might kenna caught with porn in Changi. |

Re: IMF 2006 -Singapore
What I understand is that the police would search "suspicious" characters anywhere on our island due to the IMF. Their aim here is for security purposes,i.e. stop ppl from disrupting the IMF,etc.
What worries me is that they might "abuse" this right to search anything they want without any valid reasons. Seems like they can go through all your stuff! (lap top, mobile phone,etc.). I am a true blue Singaporean and will never do anything to harm my country but it's a scary thought to think they now have such "authority". |
