China accused of denying Swedish embassy access to detained activist by Agence France-Presse China | The GuardianToday, 6:41 AM Pater Dahlin, a Swede detained in Beijing nine days ago for ‘endangering national security’, has not been visited by envoys despite repeated requests China has prevented embassy officials from speaking to a Swedish human rights worker being held in Beijing holding, according to his employers, adding that he requires regular medical care for a potentially life threatening illness.
