http://www.straitstimes.com/singapor...g-in-australia Gurkha reportedly struck by lightning while on training in Australia PUBLISHED8 HOURS AGO 05 Tiffany Fumiko Tay SINGAPORE - A Nepalese man from Singapore's Gurhka contingent was reportedly struck by lightning on Monday morning while on a training course in the Western Australian outback, according to Australia's ABC News on Tuesday. According to the report, Western Australian (WA) police confirmed that a 41-year-old man, believed to be a Nepalese Gurkha, was struck near Lake Argyle, about 480 km south-west of Darwin. WA police said that they received a call at 9am saying that the man, who was camping with others by the lake, was struck while the group was dismantling their tents.
