Thumbs up Criminals Posing as Police Extort Man for Visiting Brothel

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

A Xi’an man was stopped by fake police and forced to pay a fine when caught leaving a brothel. The fake police were later tried and arrested for impersonating officers.

Fu, 40, was stopped by three men claiming to be police when leaving a Xi’an brothel last May. Fu followed them to their car. The “police,” threatened to notify Fu’s family and said that he had to pay a 5,000 Yuan fine. Fu begged them not to tell his wife, and said that he had no cash on him, but they could stop at an ATM. The men forced Fu to take out 4,000 Yuan and then let him leave.

After, Fu had a feeling that it had been a robbery, not a ticket from police. He reported the situation to the actual police. Within a month, several people were arrested for impersonating police trying to catch people for visiting brothels.

Police caught Cheng waiting for an opportunity to pretend to charge someone for visiting a brothel. Cheng quickly gave up his other two fake police partners.

Cheng, Ma, and, Tan pleaded guilty in a local court and admitted to extorting men found visiting brothels. Cheng and Ma were sentenced to one year and two months in prison and were fined 5,000 Yuan. Tan was sentenced to one year in prison and was fined 5,000 Yuan.
