Thumbs up HHH urges S'poreans to donate $5,300 monthly salary to jobless Roy Ngerng

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

HHH URGES S'POREANS TO DONATE $5,300 MONTHLY SALARY TO JOBLESS ROY NGERNG

Dear Singaporeans, with more opposition Members of Parliament, how can the Nominated MP scheme be more important than it was 25 years ago?

The scheme’s failure to find non-partisan people may have changed the scheme to one of partisan representation.

The original aim of the NMP scheme was clear: “NMPs contribute independent and give non-partisan views in Parliament”, these individuals must be independent and show no favour to the ruling party or the Opposition.

As highlighted in Dr Tan Cheng Bok's recent letter to Today - the appointments of Mr Gerard Ee, Mr Calvin Cheng and Ms Tan Su Shan were definitely out of line with the aim of the scheme.

In order to make our voices heard, I have organised events together Roy Ngerng Yi Ling.

Now that he has lost his job, would 5,300 Singaporeans like to give $1 each month to him so that he can be our first full-time NMP, who is truly selected by the people?

You may use internet banking to transfer $1 monthly to POSB Savings Account Number 130-23068-7
