An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
This security guard (and employees like him anywhere) are being a real asshole. Closing time of 9.30pm should mean that shoppers (who may have rushed over from a previous appointment far away) have the right to enter until exactly 9.30pm. But this asshole of a guard (and employees elsewhere I've encountered) abuse it to mean 9.30pm they get to go home, and so no new shoppers are allowed to enter within the last 20 mins. If the employees claim doing so would extend their working hours with no OT pay, then the problem is between the overworked employee and the greedy unethical employer (who are themselves in turn victimized by the greedy unethical landlords and REITS), the end-consumer or shopper shouldn't be victimized for it. Poor girl, hope she isn't too emotionally traumatized by that asshole of a security guard.
