SINGAPORE — The People’s Association (PA) and its grassroots movement said today (March 28) it supports the initiative by grassroots leaders and residents from East Coast GRC to carry the National Flag along the State Funeral Procession route tomorrow.
“Even as we mourn the passing of our founding Prime Minister, carrying the National Flag is a fitting tribute to honour the legacy of Mr Lee Kuan Yew,” a PA statement said.

“Mr Lee had dedicated his whole life to ensuring the future of Singaporeans, and by carrying the flag, we pledge the same commitment to Singapore. At the same time, we demonstrate our confidence in Singapore’s future.”
The PA grassroots movements is encouraging all members of the public who plan to attend the State Funeral Procession to bring along their own flags, and wave them in honour of Mr Lee and Singapore.
