Roy Ngerng Stirring Up More Shit While Ah Gong Is Critically Ill ! Ptui!
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Roy is just like another Chee. They are both opportunists. I find it strange that he is happy with the Old Guard. After all, the Old Guard could only do what they did because they locked away all the Barisan Socialists and Commie rascals under the ISA. If not for that, the Old Guard may not even be around to lead Singapore so well from the 1960s to 1980s. So, when it fits their case, opposition cock suckers curse PAP for Operation Cold Store. When it suits their case, opposition are happy with the Old Guard for governing Singapore well in the aftermath of Operation Cold Store. Fucking flip floppers! Quote: Here's a picture of the talk I gave at the University of Oslo. I explained that the Singapore Economic Model was actually working well during the first 20 years of Singapore after independence, where wages were rising, income inequality was decreasing and living standards were improving. Under the Old Guards, the CPF interest rates rose to a high of 6.5% where housing and healthcare was affordable and Singaporeans were taken care of. However, from the mid-1980s onwards, the government reduce health subsidies from 50% to 30%. Prices for public housing and education then rose several times over and since the mid-1990s, real wages for the low-income have remained stagnant. Under the PAP's policy of self-reliance from 1982, the system became corrupted. Today, poverty is estimated to be 30% and the rich-poor gap in Singapore is the widest along the developed countries, where the rich earn the highest salaries and pay the lowest tax but where Singaporeans earn one of the lowest wages and pay the highest social contribution into our CPF in the world. Meanwhile, the PAP has over the past 50 years prosecuted Singaporeans using the Internal Security Act to imprison hundreds or even more than a thousand without trial, some for more than 20 or 30 years, and then the defamation law against opposition politicians and recently, ordinary Singaporeans who are speaking up against the PAP's misdoings. However, the PAP continues to deny its transgressions and because of its heavy-handed control against dissent, has been able to widen the social and income inequalities in Singapore, leading to social problems such as the lowest levels of trust, highest prisoner rate and one of the lowest social mobilities among the developed countries. Which explains why Singaporeans have become the most unhappy people on the planet. But all these does not have to be. Singapore does not have to become the most expensive place in the world because of the PAP's artificial inflation. Singapore does not have to be such a high-stress environment where our people are forced to live in a rat race. We can bring Singapore back to where it once was, one that is caring and kind, and where our people were helping one another, and where regardless of race, language or religion, everyone was truly equal. Let's restart Singapore and build a country where our people can all prosper and where we can work together to make Singapore our home. Let's do what is right for ourselves and vote for a new government which will take care of and protect Singaporeans. http://therealsingapore.com/content/...der-old-guards Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
