NO RUBBISH LEFT BEHIND BY SINGAPOREANS AT HONG LIM PARK AFTER PROTEST

Post date:
1 Feb 2015 - 2:36pm

Singaporeans have pointed out that PM Lee’s criticisms of them “littering” at a music festival in Garden’s by the Bay was unfounded as there were not that many Singaporeans there in the first place.
They have compared the situation at the Hong Lim Park protest yesterday held to protest the Population White Paper and the PAP’s plans to continue pushing for a 6.9 million population. At this event, attended only by true blue Singaporeans, there was no rubbish left behind and the park was clean:

At the Laneway festival at gardens by the bay, mountains of rubbish were left behind but many Singaporeans pointed out that the event was attended by mostly foreigners.

Despite this, PM Lee took to facebook to scold Singaporeans and the visitors for leaving a mess. (PM Lee Scolds Singaporeans for Littering at Gardens by the Bay) Jumping on the band wagon, former PM Goh Chok Tong also criticised Singaporeans calling us Monkeys and saying that we were dependent on foreigners (Goh Chok Tong: Without Foreigners, Singapore would be a Garbage City).
Do you think it’s fair that PM Lee and Goh Chok Tong criticised Singaporeans for the letter left behind at Gardens By the Bay?
