An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

was kopi -ing with a pal yesterday.

he was full of laments. his son just ORD and apply for uni - not local but in oz MONASH UNIVERSITY. he was apprehensive about the expenditure per year which was about $50K for tuition fees, lodging food and etc.

i asked why couldn't apply NUS. he said hsi son GP wasn't good enought to qualify. then i asked another. Gp? what GP? does those foreign PRCs who qualify a place in NUS and even foc becos of the generous scholarship given. do these people have any GP? and for heaven sake!! some even after admitted in the NUS still couldn't speak audible english.

so what's happening here?

boot our own kids to abroad for further studies and offer uni places to FTs who may not even deserve it. don't forget. some are not even grateful. to them it's like a god given right. they mock at the hands that feed them.
why is the gahmen still continue this very pattern that makes us very angry?
