THE SORRY STATE OF ESTATE MANAGEMENT AT TAMAN JURONG .node-article .field-name-link-line-above-tags{float: right;}.node-article .field-name-ad-box-in-article {float: left;margin: 15px 15px 10px 0;}.node-article .field-tags{clear: both;} Post date: 3 Jan 2015 - 9:38pm Dear whom ever it my concern, I have wrote many emails to the chairman of the Town Council, Mr David Ong and the Senior Manager in charge of the Estate, Mr Allan Koh and have spoken many times to Mr Yacob, the Property Executive about the maintenance, cleanliness and pest control of the estate. However, I have not seen any improvement if any done but instead will and have gotten worst if no action are taken. I hereby attached a few photos to illustrate my feed back. 1) Algae formed at the back of blocks The precinct of 5 blocks ie: block 111 to 115 Ho Ching Road had been repaired and restored(R&R) started late 2012 and completed 1st quarter of 2013 after much delay of more than a year (due to reluctance of the committee members in charge) and block repainted (not to the colors that residents like but voted anyway as there are no better option). After barely half a year, algae started to formed and had gotten worst and now it is 1st anniversary of the R&R , the situation spreading like wild fire. Kindly note that, I have spoken to Allan Koh, Yacob and the contractor's project manager. They had assured me that the cement screed laid, algae will not form or will be minimized. Looking at the photos, do you think this is minimized? 2) Water gusting out from floor trap Water have been gusting from floor trap directly behind my unit. This problem has been there for many years and had also affected the kitchen and toilet some years back as it will flood when even it is light rain. The problem has been identified as the water pipe being too small (thank goodness it is not the wc piping) 3) Pest Control On 2 occasion, I have observed the pest controller doing fogging work, frankly speaking I don't know what they are fogging as there are little smoke like a diesel engine vehicle breaking down emitting intermittent smoke before it breaks down completely. Spoke to Allan, understood they were fogging the bin chutes area. Having worked in a pest control company and had handled fogging machine before, I do not understand what the pest controller is doing. 4) Surrounding drains of blocks and the multi-purpose hall and scrubbing of lift lobby High pressure washing and scrubbing of the said area no show for more than 3 years. I have questioned Allan on this and was taken aback by his answer and till now I do not accept the reasons behind. Will not elaborate any more as the answer is not acceptable as an end user or even to an estate maintenance company staff I have the privilege worked with as a service provider. Hope someone that I addressed this email to will take the correct action instead of doing taichi or poking into the opposition nose like Mr Desmond Lee, also from the same GRC but MP for another ward. Yours sincerely, David Wong Resident of Taman Jurong Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
