British expat arrested in Zhengzhou after robbing women who criticized his shorts

A British man was arrested in Zhengzhou last Friday when he attacked two girls then ran away with a cell phone and 3000 Chinese yuan after he overheard them talking about him on the street, reports Youth News.
The man reportedly overheard the two girls, who were out shopping for cell phones, talking about his appearance, and flipped out when he heard them debating about how he could wear shorts with the weather being 'so cold'.
One witness reports seeing a woman screaming "help me catch him, he's stolen my cell phone" while chasing a foreign man wearing a red T-shirt and shorts. Members of the public were then seen trying to intercept the man, who continued his escape.
The foreigner (whose shorts were admittedly a bit on the skimpy side) was eventually caught by patrolling policemen, who managed to recover the stolen phone and confirmed that he was a British national in his early 20s. The policemen, however, did not manage to recover the 3000 Chinese yuan that was also reportedly stolen.
Here's a video reporting the events that unfolded.
