Doctors Specialising in STDs

Besides DSC, any other private clinic that specialise in STDs checking and treatment. Last time got Cheok Dispensary but now it has moved away and the phone number no more in use.

Last time read abt a Dr Tan at Jalan Sultan but can't find the thread anymore...anyone can help?

Do a search lar... if u can afford Dr Han @ Jalan Besar Shopping Centre quite famous, if u want cheap can try Kreta Ayer 2nd floor or DSC clinic

Finally located Han's Clinic after searching yellowpages.com. Visited the clinic this noon close to their closing time at 5pm. First time consulting Dr Han and I would say the experience was not good. He did not care to hear my encounter and only ask me some questions like whether got pain urinating or discharge or feel irritation. Told him feel some discomfort but no pain, disharge, irritation...just general discomfort at genital area...next he blah blah blah about skin contact of area not covered by condom and so forth...tell him I am aware of herpes and warts, pubic lice and their transmission mode...tell him no sign, no symptoms...precaution taken...did wash up after sex...he started to be defensive and in a impatient tone...say he in a rush, got appt at 5.30pm...tell me govt ask all the prostitutes comes to him as he is a VD doctor...if I doubt his words, then why come...??!!!I tell him politely I respected his position but at least let me relate my encounter or do a physical check on my genital area...he told me no need...and ask me if I am confident my encounter was protected and safe, I should not even see him in the first place...damn was I pissed...
tell him I used to consult Dr Cheok...his eyes brigthen up and ask me where is Dr Cheok now? Told him I do not know...lost contact...he then give me an injection at buttock...ask him for what...he say will do me good...tell me not to have alcohol and sex until medication completed...went out collected medicine...doxycline...nurse tell me not to take chilli....huh???first time heard of that...
so my conclusion is...was I probably check for STDs? No...was I ask to take further test or come back...No....anyway, since he has given me injection and medicine..will finish it but next time I will take my chance at DSC...paid $60 in the end, cheaper than Dr Cheok but I left feeling fed up...

Go to kreta ayer clinic...
Dr Tan better...Will check your kuku ...
Fee also reasonable.
A lot of prostitute also go there for medical check up.
Doxycycline cannot take with milk or food that contain
high iron, eg like tofu, peanut etc. Also must take after
food...dont ever try taking it with empty stomach.
It will make u sick and vomit.

yes, opening. Dr. is a skin problem specialist, might for STD as well.

Have gone Kreta Ayer Clinic today but found closed till 07-01-2005. As Sunday is closed for them, most prob will be till next monday then open..

Any other recommendable clinic besides those stated in this thread for check up?
