Thumbs up Will Indranee, Hri and Janil pls shut up & making fools of yourselves?

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

And then there is non-NS serving minion…

I'm not sure what gives him the right to call out Dr Catherine L. Her letter was addressed to the Prime Minister. Catherine L is any day more Singaporean than he will ever be and actually penned her open letter rather graciously. This minion, who is practically a nobody, decides to publicly reply in the PAP Times.

"For half a century now, this Government has chosen the path that leads to better outcomes in the long term, often despite temporary pain."
How would you know that? You have barely been a citizen for one tenth of that time.

"In the short run, this may draw on the goodwill between the Government and the people. But as our policies work, both trust and goodwill are rebuilt and strengthened."
"…as our policies work…"??? Really? Like the policy that brings in more foreign talent like yourself to an infrastructure that cannot support the influx? Like the policy of silencing citizens with lawsuits and detention? Like the policy that sees HDB prices rise out of control? Sorry, but which policy are you talking about exactly?

"No government in the world can only do things that all voters approve of and never encounter any problems or cause any pain."
When did voters get a chance to approve the government to do things? We don't vote on policies and law changes in Singapore. Apparently, YOU (yes, even you, the MPs that get voted in the back door) vote on our behalf. But as far as I can tell:
(1) Many of you don't show up
(2) You are all whipped
(3) You vote without consulting your voters.
If we don't get a chance to approve a policy, even if a majority reject the policy, then the "problems" or "pain" caused by the policy is NOT ours to bear.

So, in short. Will all you minions please shut up.
