Thumbs up Taxpayers to rescue Desmond, Kua Hong Pak and Ho Ching

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

6 years ago, the Government realised that bus services could not meet needs of its own Singaporeans let alone new citizens and foreigners. The MRT was nearing "crushload" (love the lady with bad hairstyle for it).

In 2011, the PAP MP out of fright for nearly losing his constituency to. Jeannette Aruldoss, famously tested the bus service serving his constituency immediately after the elections. This was followed shortly by the new Minister of Transport doing the same thing at a bus stop.

In 2012, Tharman announces $1.1 Billion rescue package where the govt will acquire 550 buses. The red flag surfaces. The privatisation religion where PAP baptises it's MPs and sycophants suddenly became a new age church.

This week the rescue package / total bailout / nationalisation / save their butt programme was announced. The stock exchange reacted immediately. GLCs bailed out saw their stock prices surge. The Govt was going to acquire their bus and bus related assets

In a nutshell, it was nationalisation in the first instance and then tenders to provide services using newly bought and acquired taxpayer assets. To take the edge off, London and Australia was brought into the picture.

My reaction was Mahathir rescuing his cronies and his son loomed in front of me.

The question is - is this why Raymond Lim is a known fan of privatisation stepped down. Secondly, how much of taxpayers money is going to be used to acquire the assets back from the GLCs and is the valuation fair. Thirdly, is there any doubt that the profitability of the impacted GLCs will improve.

Love the PAP and SPH. SPH not once used the term bailout or nationalisation. The prostitutes they are. But when it came to a young girl who was prepared to take on the mighty PAP, having an affair with a married man reporting ( false of course) was not a problem.
