MOE Teachers: OK to Kiss Gay Partners in Public!
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
DEAR TRS, SHOULD TEACHERS BE PROMOTING LBGT BEHAVIOURS IN SCHOOL? .node-article .field-name-ad-box-in-article {float: left;margin: 15px 15px 10px 0;}.node-article .field-tags{clear: both;} Post date: 16 May 2014 - 6:25pm Dear The Real Singapore, I am a PE teacher teaching in a local neighbourhood school and it hurts my feelings to see my students (see pic above) kissing publicly like that in their school uniform. I shall not use my religious teachings and upbringing as a method to tell my students not to behave in homosexuality behaviour but I feel that the very least homosexuality behaviour should not be promoted in school. Some of the other pro-LBGT teachers are teaching students that it is okay to be a gay or lesbian and say that students should be proud of it and even not be afraid to show it to others your affections with your gay partner in public. I believe it is strongly against my religious and moral upbringing but I am also afraid of imposing my ideals on others. Is it really acceptable for secondary school children to be behaving like this in school? I hope my identity will be kept anonymous as I do not want to get sack by MOE because I have a family to take care of. Thank you very much Sincerely, Local Neighbourhood School Teacher Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
