Thumbs up will you take the risk to rent yr flat to a taiwanese tenants if yr blk is only allow

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Will you take the risk to rent your HDB-Approved flat to Taiwanese professional tenants if your whole blk is ONLY allowed to rent to malaysian and singaporean tenants??

I had a HDB 5-rm flat that is purchased more than 5 years ago hence it is already approved to sublet the whole flat out to tenants.

Unfortunately, under the new HDB subletting quota ruling, my whole blk is only allowed to sublet to malaysian or singaporean tenants and NO other nationalites tenants are allowed to rent any unit in my this entire block of flats.

My flat is renovated and in good condition. I had advertised for 1 month liao, up till now, all the callers that want to view my flat are all from NON-Malaysians other countries's tenants. Only have 2 groups of chew hu gias called so far, but the 1st group of malaysians their attitude are very bad and snobbish, don't feel comfortable renating to them lar.

The 2nd group of chew hus kias are a lowly educated group of 4 zhi char malaysian hawkers assistants combined with 3 malaysian factory workers(altogether 7 persons) but KNN, this malaysians they are very cunning and laulan they seems to know my block only allowed to rent to malaysians and NO other foreign tenants are allowed to rent, the malaysians offer a ridiculous BELOW $500 the average rental price of a 5-rm HDB flat in this area.

But last week got 4 young Taiwanese professionals tenants want to rent my flat, they offer $700 more than that malaysian group.

But if rent to that taiwanese tenants, means cannot declare to HDB , meaning will be an illegal sublet and if caught by HDB, the flatowner will be fined heavily or even have the flat repossessed by HDB.

Why HDB come up with this ridiculous flat renting ruling whereby certain HDB blks can ONLY rent to malaysians and NO other nationalities are allowed to rent??

Chew hu gias FTs/foreign workers where got easier to intergrate with sinkies?? Many many malaysians FTs/foreign workers are very guai-lan and have very bad-attitude
