Guest Friendly Hotels In Thailand

Hi Samsters,

From today, I will start posting Guest Friendly Hotels in Thailand. The hotels' policies are constantly changing and this will be updated regularly.

The Grand Hotel Ratchada, a popular stay for Brothers is not guest friendly. They charge a joiner fee of 700 Baht.

The Siam Beverly Hotel is also not friendly. they charge 700 Baht joiner fee.

Unless you check-in with your guest at the same time, then these two hotels are ok.

More to follow

Re: Guest Friendly Hotels In Thailand

In my opinion, if you have money, everybody will be friendly to you.

One reason they place joiner fees is to deter 'um-sa-um-see' people to come and stay-overnight.

Choose a high soaring price hotel, confirm no joiner fees. Brinf lots of women to sleep, hotel also don't care.

If you want to be treated 'friendly' in guest hotel, I suppose don't choose those low cost place (hotel) to stay. Logic?

Hi Relaxman,

Yes I will start to post in Chiang Mai, but mostly Samsters come to BKK. So after I get finished with Bangkok, will advise other areas as well.

If you would like to know any particular hotel, let me know and I will check it out for you.

Hi Diesel,

I understand your point. I agree with you to a certain extent. However, all rules have their own exceptions, and some BKK 5 stars hotels are not friendly. For example The Oriental and Shangrila are not guest friendly and you will incur joiner fees. I get your point though, sometimes up to the way you talk to the staff and dress.

Hasa Sas, I believe so, as it used to be totally friendly. Thats why we need to check exactly at the time you stay at the hotel. New Management, new rules.

The Swissotel, formerly Merchant Court Hotel used to be Totally friendly, now it is not. Another example of changing policy.
