ICA immigration rules for VN nationals

Hi all, slightly off topic a bit, pls bear with it. VN nationals are currently allowed to enter Spore for 30 days without the need for a visa. Question: If a VN national enters Spore for the first time, then leaves Spore (for M'sia or return to VN), and two days later he attempts to enter Spore again using the "30 days visa free entry" rule, will ICA allow? Or will ICA like reject his/her attempt to enter Spore as it finds it suspicious for a nationla to stay in Spore for 28 days, leaves for anotehr country and retusn after just 2 days? TIA!

As far as I know, in both cases, they may be required to explain their purpose for re-entering Spore. Entry may be refused by ICA or restricted stays might be imposed. It really depends on their purpose to their 2nd visit here.

Its getting tougher for Vietnamese gals to enter Singapore now. Under the wavier of Visa rules introduced in October 2003, Vietnamese nationals will be given 30 days social visit pass. But recently, due to the large influx of Vietnamese gals to Joo Chiat, ICA officers reserve the right to lessen the number of days given or even refuse entry. As i fly very often on the HCM Singapore route, i have observed the following.

Since 6 to 8 months ago, Vietnamese gals has been given 14 days Visit pass if their passports has mulitple SIngapore visit pass stamps before. But these did not stop the influx of gals yet. Just a couple of weeks ago, i notice a new trend at immigration at Changi. The gals are either given 7 days or refused entry. Last week when i flew by Garuda back to SIngapore, i notice a great drop in the number of vietnamese gals entering Spore. At the Changi ICA Immigration, most of the gals were refused entry into Spore as their passports has mulitple Spore Visit pass stamps before.

As for bros who are still using the malaysian trip method to lengthen the Vietnamese gals stay , this method doesn't work anymore. There will be a high chance that your gal will get a 3 days stamp upon returning from malaysia.

There are just my observations

You are lucky ur girl got 3days stay. My girl was refused entry to Msia and she was sent back to Spore. Her passport was stamped ( I supposed her record will be blacklisted) by Msia imm offrs. Was hoping ICA would give her at least 7days but was given only 3 days and also on the condition she produce a confirmed air ticket.

Where you get the news from? Your first part I need to verify. Mostly no more 30 days, for sure. Second part is ICA only allow one's traveller to stay with the stipulated period. After 30 days is over, she can't re-enter in any route. As for female tourists from vietnams, you might not be surprised that she will be fingerprinted on her second visit in SGP. As for PRC, no changes in visa requirement.

What is there to explain? ICA won't bother to hear your explanation cos all the explanation mostly are not true.

Whether to allow u into this island, depends on a few factors. Think about this, y would a ger from Viet wants to come to tour SG over n over again?? What so big abt Sg that u can't finish in the last 14 days???

Not surprising and I was also told ICA were aware of hanky panky stuffs from viet/prc gers. Tats why they have these strict requirements now. But there is this checkpoint at eastern end. I did try once and my ger was lucky to get 14 days stay when she came back from Johore after exhausting her 29 days in Spore. Woodland.. not so lucky lah.

Nowadays, unless the lady doesn't look like a working gal and doesn't have mulitple singapore stamps on her passport, she will get 14 days. It is extremely difficult to get 30 days now.

Re: ICA immigration rules for VN nationals

not sure of the policy for vn and prc, but maybe i can share my experience wif filipinas. cos i had filipina gals before and know quite a few of them.

first timers usually get 14-day social visa. subsequently they will "exit", usually to malaysia (jb or genting) or bintan.

when they return, usually get 7 or 14 days. if they do it too often, after some time, get 3 days or even "a-to-a" (airport-to-airport, ie. they cannot enter and will have to fly back home within 24 hrs).

usually will be able to get a longer stay if they travel in small groups (3 or 4). or if bros accompany them, as their friend, they could get up to a 30-day stamp (but never admit u are their bf, cos if anything happen, u will be in trouble too). alternatively, the gals should behave normal and not look too scared or suspicious. of course it helps if they can answer any qns posed to them (eg. one gal i know came back a few days before national day from bintan, and when asked told the immigration officer that she come here to visit a friend and watch the national day parade and fireworks).

however i also notice that the immigration is getting stricter now. i found out abt 3 days ago that a group of 4 filipinas were totally denied entry to singapore, even though they have never travelled here before!

sorry for the long post... just sharing my experience and wat i know.

cheers!

most of the time yes, but necessarily always. like i was mentioning in my earlier post... there is this group of 4 filipina gals who have never entered singapore before, and totally denied entry (a-to-a, ie. they have to leave within 24 hours).
