Those people who engage in online harassment/bullying obviously have mental issues. It is in their own, as well as in public interest for such mentally-disturbed people to seek professional help from the IMH.
Under Singapore law, it is an offense of INTENTIONAL DISTRESS/INTENTIONAL HARASSMENT under Section 13A of Chapter 184, which is an non-arrestable offence. And furthermore this provision only applied to real life, the cyberspace is under its purview. The legal service is aware of the need to close this loophole. And they are working hard to roll out the new laws governing cyberspace. And when the new laws are passed, many individuals would be in deep legal trouble.
I sincerely hope these individuals would desist from their deplorable actions. To these people, learn to disagree respectfully. And if you can't, keep away! Have a blessed Sunday! God bless everyone in Sam's Alfresco Heaven!:)
