Thumbs up Fukushima's radioactive water leaks have far more serious impact

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Most people assume that the most immediate impact that the Fukushima's radioactive water leaks have on the oceans is contaminated seafood. It's a logical assumption as food is one of the sustenances of life.

IMHO there are far more serious impact such as:

1. No swimming and fishing in the sea

2. Shipping vessels will have to be constructed with radiation-reduction or radiation-proof material

3. Coastal areas will be contaminated. Island-nations such as Sinkieland will become uninhabitable. According to IAEA's recommendation, people living within an 80-kilometre zone may be exposed to radiation. Can the exclusion zone be applied to Sinkieland? (From north to south, it's about 27 km, from east to west it's about 47 km)

4. The land over which typhoons and monsoons pass will become radioactive. Why? Typhoons and monsoons get most of their moisture from the sea/ocean. (Go read on Wikipedia how typhoons and monsoons are formed)

Nihon-land, Sinkieland, Pinoy-land, Taiwan, coastal areas of Ah Tiong land, the Carribean, Florida, Engrand, etc, etc... will be contaminated when rain falls.

5. Desalination plants will have to close down. Humans have to find other ways of obtaining drinkable water.
