Tragic: Chinese boyfriend Tao Hsiao plunged to his death after a five-hour shopping trip with his girlfriend

A man threw himself to his death after arguing with his girlfriend who wanted to visit a shoe shop at the end of a long shopping trip.
Eyewitnesses claim Tao Hsiao, 38, told his girlfriend he wanted to go home after accompanying her on the five-hour trip.
They claim the pair started a heated argument before the man threw down his bags and threw himself over a balcony on the seventh floor of the shopping centre in Xuzhou, east China.
He then smashed into the ground floor in front of horrified shoppers.
Horrific: Eyewitnesses say the 38-year-old jumped after arguing with his girlfriend As reported by Mail Online, one eyewitness who witnessed the couple's argument said the girlfreind wanted to go in a shop to buy some shoes.
"He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more," the eyewitness said.
"She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas, it was a really heated argument."
After falling to the ground, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
