Hi to all fellow samsters brothers and sisters.

This is my first thread in poll.
i am jobless now and have to look for a new job.
and wondering what are the jobs that most samsters are holding.

I'm a network engineer aka IT GOD of the company I'm in.

LoL, My job entails, 1) Playing online games (telling boss I'm testing network latency) 2) giving shit to CEOs and CFOs (occationally close off their connection and tell them they got virus thru their surfing habits) 3) be a snob to lower level IT idiots. (Saying things like "what would you know? tell you also dun understand tell you for what?") 3) creating havok once a week to claim OT (things like occationally doing network maintenance) 4) implementing insane security measures {does not applies to myself of cos} (like preventing MSN Chatting)

actually just realised out that missed out certain jobs i.e:lawyer, doctor, jobless etc.
anyway, i studied IT one. but not really interested in programming.
so thinking of changing environment.
but dunno what to do now.so do this poll and hope to see some light.

IT has many fields in itself, depends on whats your interest. Network Engineer (knowledge in cisco systems products{mostly in singapore}, juniper, Acatel, etc etc lesser networking equipments. Deals with switch, firewalls, routers and security), Server Administrator (deals in server, Windows, linux, unix, solaris etc etc), Programmer (developement of applications), Web Developer (web apps, web design, hosting and maintenance of web pages), Database (SQLs like SAP, Oracle, MsSQL). Lots and lots and lots of different jobs within the IT bracket.

Programming are just one small small part of IT field. Even in programming there is Beta Testers, Code writers, Server App writers. So many to choose from.

If any bros interested in the IT field can pm me for more info as I've been in this line for ages and have done almost all fields in IT at least once.

Who knows, you might be what my company is looking for and you get to work with ME. LoL
