PAP extreme policies strain human behavior....
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Took most of the charts from this excellent blog article: http://www.tremeritus.com/2013/09/13...heart-attacks/ Singaporeans are unhappy people. Attachment 12140 Singaporeans are the very emotionless: Attachment 12141 We have emotionless people who are unhappy...strange right? If you're less emotional you should be less unhappy...unless the unhappiness is etched so deep, it pierces your emotional armour. Lets go on....Singaporeans have the 2nd highest per capita GDP but are least able to retire among develop country people: Attachment 12142 Another contradiction? ...Because Singapore's distribution is also the most unequal in the developed world so per capita GDP does not go down to the man on the street. Attachment 12143 Singapore in most surveys on stress is ranked highest in the world along with the longest working hours among OECD countries: Chart-20.jpg High rates of heart disease. When you get sick, you face the highest financial strain among all developed countries ...Singapore has highest out of pocket healthcare spending: Chart-15.jpg Singaporeans are the first group of humans under the stress and strain of the unique PAP system. ....no other countries even come close in these array of statistics. We are being pulled from various sides and put under stresses... But why did the PAP create such a system? Because it is highly beneficial to them and the class of people connected to them....this is easy to explain, people guard their own interests and those linked to them. The harder question to answer, is why Singaporeans vote the PAP to continue this system to their own detriment? ....Some say it is brainwashing, others say Singaporeans are just too grateful for the previous good time wrought about by the old guard...some say Singaporeans bury their head in the sand learning to care only about themselves so far as they are alright, they don't care about others who are suffering. Its a bit of propaganda, a bit of selfish behavior, a bit of ignorance ...that got us to this dire state. But how long can we continue like this? Attached Images
