Thumbs up Tonychat aka samleong, Dutch scientist made beef burger without killing a cow. you ..

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Tonychat aka samleong, Dutch scientist made beef burger without killing a cow. you can eat meat in 10 years time. I am so happy for you. You can enjoy soon the sweet taste of meat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A £250,000 beef burger made of synthetic meat will be served in the UK.

Set to be the world's most expensive burger, it will be made up of 3,000 strips of artificial beef.

The meat comes from a cow's synthetic cells, grown in a laboratory.

Specially-invited members of the public have been invited to view the burger being cooked next week in west London.

It is hoped by scientists conducting the research that artificial meat will be sold in stores within the next ten years.

Professor Mark Post told The Independent on Sunday: "Eventually, my vision is that you have a limited herd of donor animals which you keep in stock in the world.

"You basically kill animals and take all the stem cells from them, so you would still need animals for this technology.

"Right now, we are using 70% of all our agricultural capacity to grow meat through livestock. You are going to need alternatives.

"If we don't do anything, meat will become a luxury food and will become very expensive."
