An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Today I had my cuppa in my regular kopi-tiam. I was charged $1.10. I asked why was I being charged 10cts more. The kopi-tiam lady sheepishly replied that since Singaporeans received government GST vouchers of $500/- all the coffee shops had raised prices. Ridiculous isn't it? As far as I know, the prices of ingredients to make beverages have not gone up. I suspect coffee shop owners are going to make thousands per month. This is plain profiteering. What about those who did not receive this voucher like PRs?
