Thumbs up FTrash Overloads Hospitals, SGs Go to Back of Queue. 60%, Song Bo?

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Reader worries of increased load of FT patients in local hospitals
will deprive SGs

[Letter was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and copied to TRE]

Dear Dr Soh,

I missed your hand specialist appointment yesterday due to work commitments
and the inability to obtain time off as my company does not recognize “time
chits” which policy is not conveyed and implemented at MOM level. By the time I
arrived at 4.30pm, I was told by counter staffs that not a single MO is
available as they have all left.

Hence, I requested for an appointment before the end of this month but they
were unable to give me one as they are struggling with huge loads of patients,
many of whom are foreigners forming the bulk.

I hope that with the government’s go-ahead plans to implement the 6.9 million
population, Singaporeans will not be displaced in terms of quality and
affordable “restructured” healthcare and that we will not as promised by the
PMO, be overwhelmed by the ill-effects of the foreign population in every
field/sector and furthermore, our well-being will never be compromised and fail
to come first at our hospitals.

Yours sincerely,

Daniel D.C.
