Driving Instructor eating dinner in his car while giving lesson

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

At about 6.30pm yesterday I was driving along Bukit Batok Road while following an “L Plate” Car who was driving extremely slowly on the left side of the main road towards turning into Chua Chu Kang. After the turn I overtake the L Plate Car and noticed the driving instructor was holding a box of rice eating and his student was just driving like a tortoise.

I’m wondering is it right the instructor can eat in his car while giving lesson; this may cause danger to the student as well as the road users.
