Special/Promotional Airfare/Hotel Deals to Thailand

Since quite a lot of the bros here cheong LOS, I thought maybe we can keep each other informed of the best deals for airfares as well as hotels.

We now have TG, SQ, CX, the european airlines, ValuAir, TigerAir, AirAsia, etc., so there are bound to be promotional fares which not all bros would be aware of at any one time. This would be a good place to drop in when you are planning a trip up north.

As for the hotels, it seems using internet sites may not necessarily be the best way to make room reservations, so the more well connected bros may wish to share their lobangs so that we are all better informed to make better choices as a result.

Bro POLICEMAN just told me that there is a $98 promotion by SQ to BKK. This price is for a return economy ticket, and the condition is that 2 people must travel together both outbound and inbound, same dates and timing. I think this price does not include taxes etc., so the final price should probably be $169 or something like that. The offer is for outbound travel from 27th March until 14th April, and it ends this Thursday 17/03/05. Cheers.

REALLY! I really don't understand how these discount carriers work. I mean, how do I get access to the cheapest flights that they have? Everytime I try to make a reservation online, I end up with a final screen that quotes me almost regular SQ/TG prices and I would just give up the entire process with them. Are there any tricks which I can learn to take advantage of the kind of fare which you have managed to get for yourself?

Bro, How did you get such a great deal?--I search www.jetstar.com and for some reason they didnt even have Bkk or LOS on their list of destinations, they only list all of Australia for destinations

argh.. like someone mentioned above.. how to get access to the so called cheap booking flights?

I got 151$, the earlier u book, the cheaper it is... i just got a deal from my regular agency of 296$, Five days stay, incl of flight and accomodation in bkk palace, fly by valuair... Worth?

just tried to book the ticket on Songkran period, quoted SGD270.00.

where is the accomdation in bkk? which hotel?
dont like accomdation far from siam sq or pratunam.

270? Bao ka liao?? shld be okie.. Actually, the agency gave me a few hotels to choose from but still prefer Bkk palace.. Some of the hotels dun allow this, tat ah.. very tulanz one

Tiger air just started their promo yesterday for 15,000 seats for departure from 1st May to 30th June. I think this one still got chance to get good cheap fare. Bros may want to try this before they are sold out too. One way is $25.98 and the closing date for this deal is 23rd March. Cheers.

Just got my Sin-Bkk roundtrip ticket on Tiger Airways for S$25 eachway +tax, got ticket for the Vesak Day holiday period, total cost came S$106 including all taxes.

To get the cheapest fare on any airlines, you have to know the following things:
1. Most of these fares are not available on weekends and public holidays, so plan to fly on weekdays
2.Best chance to get advertised cheap fare is if you travel midweek
3.Usually morning flights are more expensive than evening or night flights except Sunday(or last day of long weekend) evening flights
4.Try to buy tickets as early as possible
5. When there is a sale, read the fine prints at the bottom of the ad where they tell you about rules/restrictions for this particular sale
