been to SZ a couple of time.
really nothing to see.
but...

got one chinese cultural park (theme park) not bad for pple like us from oversea to go walk walk
got dancing by many gers also.

hi, not so sure abt the disco place cos the chinese ger just point to me the direction. and i was really drunk walking back. but it is along hwa fa bei lu (north road) off zhenhua xilu (west road -- shopping belt) betw difu hotel, walk towards yida hotel abt 100m direction to the left. not obvious fr main road cos building is set back.

stay @ difu is quite central price is abt RM240 cos of renovation.

but if u r gg there, it is ok except b on lookout for pickpockets. i heard louhu is more notorious.

Shenzhen is really a nice place in terms of 'fun'.

I've been there for a few times about 1.5 years ago.

The advice is, you dont need a local to guide you around, but you at least need a fellow China guy, mainly to do the bargin part.

My personal favourite, after having been to some KTVs, pubs, HCs, etc, is dabao from the small hair saloons. If you search this forum carefully, you should know roughly where to find these hair saloons. Many of them start working in the afternoon. Everytime i go there, ? walk back-and-forth for one whole round before picking up my 'queen of the day'. There are so many girls there, and most of them are quite young, so you definitely will find one of your like. Then, i negotiate with the mamasan. I remember the price in 2003 is RMB300 for overnight. Sometimes, I can even get a lower price, esp on weekday nights. In 2004, it went up to RMB400 when i went there in march. I dont know the market nowadays, but comparing to throwing thousands into KTV, i prefer spending my money more wisely and also straight into the business.

But as i said, if you walk like a foreigner, talk like a foreigner, then you will definitely be charged like a foreigner.

By the way, in my opinion, the two theme parks (???? and ????? sucks.

VFV_SLR mentioned novotel bauhinia? wrong novotel!! d action down at novotel watergate! next to hotel is ba ding jie / zhong xin (jusco) with BBS, MPs, makan etc in open lanes and backlanes. park acros hotel with deng xiao peng billboard - dun go hunting in d park for SW and FL at night (also outside jusco) dey r mostly bai fen (addicts) Gs. near watergate is true colors disco - 2 flrs disco / pubs - pick your target or swing yourself silly. never mind bro, come back again!

Bro Iowa - update on BBS price - now szx standard RMB 150 ST and RMB 500 ON (same G, fuck yrslf silly).

szx not bad if no time for CP, DG etc - quickie for xiao di di ex-hkg and much cheaper.
