chiang mai, pataya or phuket?

Hi, thinking of having a holiday in thai...

Just to seek for some opinion.... Which place is better to cheong in term of clubbing, girls quailty, value for $, special service etc...

is there any "must" visit place or "must" try kind of service?

Sorry very new to thai heeeheee...

Phuket is the most expensive among the lot. Unless you are staying in a remote beach or in the city, you will find everything expensive (tourist prices).

Pattaya is famous for its sleazy nightlife. Basicaly there is nothing much to do during the day unless you want to shop or sight-see.

Chiang Mai has some pubs, sight-seeing places and places to shop, so it is a good balance.

Imho if you want good places to party (e.g. disco, pub), Phuket might be the place although it will definitely cost you much more.

For other information, the other bros can fill you in.

It depends on the the focus of your trip.

Pattaya
Like Evilectus said, Pattaya would be the place to go if all you want is to have fun nights with girls. But sadly, there is little to do in the day other then a little sight seeing, and probably more fun with girls.

Phuket
I believe Phuket is still better suited for a family vacation. With the many resorts around, beautiful scenery and the like, you will be able to find girls and clubs there no doubt. Everything there cost a lot more though, so unless the recession did not hit you, or you just have big pockets, then I wouldn't stay there for long.

Chiang Mai
I guess you will have to fall on Evilectus and other bro's word on Chiang Mai, as the last time I was there, was when I was a kid. I do remember lots of sights to see, and the guide asking my dad if he wanted to see a "tiger show", which as a kid, I wanted to see as well. Of course, what he really meant to say was...

Bangkok
I've been to BKK the most, and still, there are areas I have not explored and checked out. In terms of things to do, BKK is a city, which means you have what is available in one, like Singapore. Getting around is cheap with taxis (Just ask to be charged via the meter if they don't already do it), and cheaper with their MRT system which is exactly like Singapore's. So, shopping, clubbing, getting girls, it's all very easy to do. Lastly, since it is the capital, it also has became a hub to the other areas like Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and so on, so you can hop onto a bus, or plane, to check out the other areas.

I love Phuket, it is now low season so staying there will be cheaper. Look out for the airport taxi if you are a newbie.

But if you are talking about girls then, BKK the place to be and it's a plus point that Pataya is just a bus ride away (2 hours)

If you're flying from Singapore and using budget flights, here's how's you should go: Fly to Phuket (1 way ticket) stay 3 days.
From Phuket fly to BKK . (choose the noon flight)
From BKK take a bus to Pataya. (Take from airport directly) and stay 2 days
Bus back to Bkk and unload all your ammo. Stay 3 days and fly back to SIN.
Game Over! Next day drink tonic soup to replenish sperm count!!

Phuket gals are usually darker skin.....Angmoh favourite

Pattaya the sin city is the place u must visit at least once in your life.Ladies of any shape,size,looks are available everywhere wherever u go!not forget to mention the gogo scene all kind of boobs for u to google at before taking away.Lastly the famous soi six.Walk down alone at evening time u will either love that feeling or flee from the scene as more than 400ladies in a single street most will try thier best to ask u take them upstair.

Yes Chiang Mai is damn boring if you compare it with BKK.

Chiang Mai is the only place in Southeast Asia to see pandas in the zoo besides China. Don't miss it!

Pattaya is always a nice place to chill out a day or two away from the chaotic BKK.

Never said Chiangmai is boring, OK. You guys have not discovered the other side of Chiangmai. Karaoke with girls wearing see thru dresses with nothing inside. Big massage parlour with fish tank, traditional massage, pub and karaoke in a one stop centre.

I've been to all the "big" soapy massage parlours before. I've also checked out the Karaokes. But have not found a karaoke that has girls wearing see through dresses. Care to share the exact location?

Bro Tony, The location is near night bazzaar, can't remember the road name, "The Chedi Hotel" is just on the opposite side of the road. You can't miss it, a of Jonhnny Walker light box is display outside. On the same road there are a few karaoke joints too.

On the subject of Chiang Mai KTVs. All bros please be aware. There're many black shops in Chiang Mai always ready to chop foreigner's carrot head. It's best to go with a Thai guide. Don't fret if you don't have a Thai guide. They're all around! Haha. Treat your tuk tuk driver, bellboy, etc. for a drink in the KTV. When they see you with a Thai guy around. They'd think twice if they want to try anything funny. Try to get a big sized Thai guy or one with serious looking face. Win win situation.
