The main issue is whether bro Chef is willing to report this incident to the police as he has to face the consequence as well.

As for the CCTV, the staff is unlikely to help you to trace the culprit unless it is under investigation by the police or you happen to know the staff personally.

I have already mentioned there is no Robin Hood to help him trace the culprit. . Privacy issues are involved even if your friends are working in that hotel or the telecom company and are prepare to help. Any disclosure of such information MAY incur penalty from the relevant authorities.

The only way is to report to the police who have the statutory right to require assistance from all the relevant parties - the hotel, the telecom and any party who can help to nail the culprit.
