I'm in mid 50s too and having a married fwb.

My mindset is to enjoy whatever comes with fwb. I don't expect ourselves to be together for long. If we can last v long, then it's bonus. If not long, so be if. I move on.

With this mindset, it do good for myself emotionally.

You say u love your Fwb. But are you ready to leave yr family to be with her? If yes, why are you not doing it?
