I tend to view this quite differently. If your friend is willing and can afford it, just let him do it. Because the scams are here to stay, but suckers are born everyday, my younger self included. I think life is is a learning journey. Since your friend is quite young, let him bang wall and learn the lesson early so he does not repeat it later in life when he has a family and more money to spend.

If she is really new, then it may not be a scam but influence from those old birds in her trade. As far from my knowledge, siam diu doesnt have much of this 50% cut unless its china hfj. If you need more info, you can pm me and i can find out for you.
