Hat Yai for Western Monger (Caucasian)
Hi all,
sorry to start a new thread but I thought it might be wiser than touch your threads... Having read a lot of stories concerning Hat Yai I got interested, dont ask why, just got  Anyway, most of writers are Asians (either from Malaysia or Singapore) I am bit worried is there anything for me because I am Caucasian or should I keep away. All recommendations and tips/hints are appreciated so if you have please either PM or add to this thread. Also, any fellow mongers please join me after 23rd of September (in case you will give me positive feedback)... Cheers and hoping to hear your advices... hannu

Hat Yai is OK for Frang and not a happening place as BKK but is still OK. Haven't been for a while but Songkhla is a good hang out with the Beach and several bars very quite but a strong HHH and plenty of frang. So if you don't like Hat Yai go to Songkhla only 40 min drive by car plent of taxi's will take you at the President hotel.

Well haadyai is very laid back compare to BKK. Its slower pace and a good place to chill out . I am going towards the end of sept maybe we might be able to meet up there.

Allright,
I have decided to visit Hat Yai starting around 24th of Sep and maybe will stay there two-three days... So any fellow mongers, please PM if you want to join or guide me on my virtual Hat Yai visit. I am openminded North-European guy who has travelled and working a lot all-around the world Also a couple of hotel tips would be nice, close to entertainment areas... Cheers and hopefully have a chance to meet you there jb

They won't be cheap but we will have the alternative to refuse them if they are not our type. Theres also the massage joints of course. We have to work so will return to Singapore on the evening of the 26th but you are welcome to join up with us at least in the mongering and drinking. So far as Hatyai is concerned, we are no experts but we know we will more than have adequate fun based on information we have at hand. PM me your mobile phone that will be operating and we will be in touch and let me know where you will stay and time of arrival. By the way, the best rates for hotels can be obtained from any decent travel agent in Hatyai so long as you don't arrive too late. QUite a few travel agent contacts have been posted on the Hatyai thread already so look them up. S.

thank you for your polite response I will inform my number while I will have Thai sim card, most likely I will be in Hat Yai starting on 23rd but lets see because I have an option to go to Cambodia as well... At first I will spent a couple of days in Bangkok... Cheers and thank you again... hh
