I need advice from folks here. While I am in the midst of divorcing my soon-to-be ex-wife, I am preparing for the engagement party with my current girlfriend. If it is wedding banquet, I know that I am committing bigamy when the divorce procedure is not yet completed. But if I am doing engagement ceremony, am I committing bigamy? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Of cos not Bigamy ... you are still legally married to one ... ;)

Morally ... most will say that's nothing wrong

Legally .... Nothing wrong as well ..... all she can do is take these evidences during your engagement ceremony and claim adultery in court ... getting more smpathy from the Judge .... which will give her more bargaining power in the divorce proceedings .... :(

Keep low profile and not let your soon-to-be ex wife know about the "ceremony" (but honestly cant you wait )

Carry on with the engagement cermemony if ur wallet is fat enough to pay more alimony each month.....:p

Engagement is not marriage, so how does bigamy come into the picture?
Heed bro SSO's advice less your soon to be ex-wife chooses to make your life miserable on the day of the party.

yep.. not bigamy as engagement is not registering your marriage yet.

Postpone your party till you're legally single.
