Ou Ner, Language of Northern Thailand

For those who frequent northern Thailand, ever notice the local's language is abit diff from those of Bangkok?

Well, those language in Bangkok is called Pasathai (sound), it's like mandrain.
Those in the northern thailand like Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Payao, Mae Sai, etc is Ner. A kind of dialect.

When u speak to ppl from the northern Thailand, Pasathai is good enough. But when they talk to each other (local to local of the northern Thai, they usually speak in Ner) n u may wonder wat r they talking abt. Even from those WL in Hatyaii as most r from the north.

I would like to share with bros here abt the language Ner so u could understand wat r they talking. But my advice is not to let them know that u know Ner, else they'll speak to u in Ner n not Pasathai.

I'll oni list out those that r diff from Pasathai, words in <> refer to Pasathai. As I did not learn them thru formal lesson, all words r sound generated oni..

To start with:

20 = South
21 = South Aik
22 = South Song.....till 29 (diff with Pasathai on the first word, South)

What? = <Arai> = A Yang Gor? (normally use the short form "A Yang?")
Speak = <Prut> = Ou E.g <Prut Thai> = Ou Thai; <Prut Ner> = Ou Ner

Dun have = <Mai Mi> = Bo Mi
Dun want = <Mai Ao> = Bo Ao.....(just change Pasathai's Mai to Bo for other similiar words)

For woman, those words ending with <Ka> = Ziao (sounds like "run" in hokkien but in softer tone)

Apparently can oni think of these...will update again if come across any.

Any Bros/sis got others to add? All r welcome as it is mean to share...

Bros/sis who like this thread can pse up my rep.
