An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Took some time to explore the PCN from my place to the Marina Barrage this evening; hopped onto my trusty cheapo bike and cycled along the carefully manicured pathway.

Traffic looks smooth on the PIE, albeit slow moving, and I thought the TP done a good campaign for the "Cop on Top". Those shrubs along the centre divider would need some trimming though.

Moving along, I noted that there's an increasing number of folks using motorised skate scooter and motorised bike as I journeyed towards my destination. It was pretty much a straight path as I cut through the Kembangan and Telok Kurau estates, past St Pats, VJ, KC, as well as Ngee Ann Primary.

Traffic was heavy on the ECP, shrubs needs a trimming badly too. What struck me was this sheltered overhead bridge which was still under construction. It was an existing overhead bridge with upgrading works done to retrofit the shelter. "Cop on Top" Ha!

There were plenty to see, smell and hear along the way at East Coast Park, and I thought there were more foreigners than locals. Where are our locals? Went jiak hong? Make SG less crowded in a way I guess.

Meandered along the coastline and we do have a long coastline. The horizon peppered with vessels and further south I think I could see some parts of Riau Island? Anyway, the number of joggers had thinned, or maybe I missed them totally.

Riding to the GBTB East seemed quite enjoyable thus far, took some time to soak in the atmosphere around the Bay at sun set. Totally mesmerising, I kid you not. I looked beyond the Marina Reservoir and there lies my destination: Satay by the Bay.

By the time I reached there, totally regretted my decision. This place was crowded like fuck! Where do all these people come from? Never mind, too hungry anyway. So I placed my order for 20 sticks, campur campur. Waited for like a good 30 minutes before my order was ready.

So there I was, squatting my the Bay, waiting for the order, looked at folks enjoying their food, I must add that these people really waste a lot of food. Think we should start charging for food wastage, seriously. Maybe I'm just very hungry.

I wasted no time in finishing my satay, wasted not even a single drop of the peanut sauce as I carefully coated my last stick of satay with the sauce, right to its last drop from the styrofoam bowl. How to recycle these styrofoam? Never mind, throw them away. Do like the Romans do in Rome.

Spent another 30 minutes riding around the area and then decided it's time to head back. A good ride I say, you guys should try it sometimes.
