I gather Parklane was raided recently.

When actually GL is easier to control customer flow, contact tracing and enforce compulsory swab tests. The AV knows but the political masters cant stomach the potential fallout.

If this was precovid 19 old normal days I would agree with you bro.

But this is now covid-19 new normal days, so perhaps things would not be so easy to explain away as you make it out to be.

Eg. The way MOM handled the FWs dorms issue before the giant clusters and tried to explain it away but to-date I don't think the public has accepted MOM's explanation.

If MW hotel at least adhered to the proper health safety measures protocols which all hotels opening up during P2 have to comply with like proper SEscan, health declaration and registration for all guests/visitors to rooms etc , then I think it would be not so bad.

But if MW hotel cannot even comply with these basics and this illegal scandalous situation continues without any action by the government authorities then I think things could get messy for the government big guns.

As for the reopening of GL, yes you are right. It is a big dilemma.

I guess its all about calculated risks and doing the right thing in the public interest and balancing the realities of human nature.

As for the health risk you so nochantly and flippantly refer to. The health risk to the chiongsters and FLs is not a big issue, since as you claim they already accept this risk. But the bigger health risk is with respect to them spreading the virus to the rest of the public as it is so infectious, hence becoming a cluster.

This is why I keep saying the illegal scandalous situation at MW hotel is dangerous and should be dealt with asap by the government agencies.

Did I claim the illegal activities would die off if GL was allowed to reopen? No.

But reopening of GL with proper health safety measures protocols in place would at least provide for a safer practical solution rather than this total cowboy operations like MW hotel which currently exists.

There is no absolute answer here. But the current situation does not seem to be the right one in the public interest under the circumstances.
