This trip I've been checking out the beer bars on the outskirts of town that the locals go to. Should have a better FR when I get back home.

I went to Bor Peng Yan bar last night. Nothing special there; maybe about ten working girls around 10 pm. Beware of there are also many no commercial and foreign girls who might get angry if someone talk too straight to them. Positive thing is that most of working girls speak relative good English, but they will ask more for their services compare their sisters for example in Udon Thani. So I ended up 400 000 (about 65SGD) for ST. There was no problem to take her 3 star hotel.

There were also something like five SWs on Souphanouvong avenue between Nam Phou Fountain and Chao Anou road. My opinion that most of them are LBs.

I would add to my last comment Samlo Bar. It is located Souphanouvong avenue 500 meters from fountain towards airport. After 9pm some girls available, but basically same is in Bor Peng Yang. Positive side is that there are very few times non WGs, but negative is often too limited selection.
I used to go there often in past, but I am bored now.

Vientiane Times had news today that government will force all nightclubs and discos to close in midnight. They also complained f ex that discos play too much foreign music compared local.

Actually I prefer early closing times. Nightclub gals are available earlier without any extra costs. I also make a wild guess that Don Chang Palace nightclub stays open until 2-3 am even if "new" regulations are forced in other places.

1 USD = 7652 LAK (selling 7688 LAK)

SGN is not very practical currency in Laos because many banks and exchange bureaus do not accept it especially outside of Vientiane and Luang Prabang.

Sanjiang Hotel has a KTV there that looks just like any KTV in China - only the girls are locals. Even the manager there is a Chinese.

Each room is about 568k kips IIRC. Girls' time is by the hour, 30k kip per hour. ST 300k and LT 600k
