I never go after midnight. The crowds are mainly gangsters and coolies plus lots of thieves hanging around. If they see you come out from a car and start walking around, they know it's safe to break into your car while you're bonking upstairs! I kena b4. I actually stayed in Brickfields for the last 5 years so if I may add abit to this. Crowds are as what you expect anywhere in KL after midnight. As mentioned in a previous post just don't dress like you're rich. Take off all gold necklace, ring, etc. Wear cheap t-shirt and jeans or pants.

Keep your expensive phone at home. Bring only the required money. RM50-60 is more than enough. You'll even have spare cash for a meal at one of the mamak stalls. Take public transport, it's right next to KL Sentral monorail.

Brickfields used to be quite a notorious area around 10 years ago, but the recent developments in KL Sentral area have led to much improvement.
